Manager Communication: Busy for a Monday, with well-sold theater pops in all three rounds. Plenty of kids out for Sonic and another two sold out Everything Everywhere screenings. 

Smaller Volo crowd than the last two weeks due to the chilly weather, but still got a decent Trees boost from those that made it out. 

BAR Staff Observations: A bit of a hectic day behind the bar, but everyone worked incredibly hard. 

Unfortunately, Eliel began to experience intense back pain around seven. He was able to grab some anti-inflammatory medication from the pharmacy, but got no relief and his pain quickly escalated. Ultimately, we made the decision that he should head home and rest, and I was able to hop behind the bar and get Jenna through the remainder of the Everything Everywhere rush. 

While Jenna has been excellent at working busy weekend shifts with others and closing both bars, she definitely was a little lost once Eliel had to be cut. There were several items/cocktails that she either did not have stocked behind the bar, or simply did not know where to find. I think this was a combination of Trees menu specifics not having been completely stocked at open, and Jenna not being proactive about stocking or discussing stocking with Eliel when she first arrived. 

I ended up having Ashley head up to Trees around nine to help Jenna navigate a busy Trees and a decently brisk service bar, as well as go over how to build a stock list. She was incredibly thorough and I think it served as a great refresher for Jenna as to what she should be looking for when working a mid or closing shift. 

Overall, everyone worked incredibly hard today, and service never had a hiccup. 

FOH Staff Observations: Darius, Kaya, Miguel, and Nathaniel were great help at service bar today, on both floors. 

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Servers should be placing dirty coupes that held the Past Whispers to You rightside up in the glass racks so they can be sprayed down before being run through the wash. Otherwise the glasses are often left with gold streaks from the star garnish. 

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Non-Alcoholic Negroni. 

Prep List: I made Lemonade, Strawberry Lemonade, Fire Walk With Me, Cinema Paradiso, Mr. Fusion, and Verse Jump. 

Hazelnut, Hibiscus, Pineapple Ginger, and Simple Syrups will need to be made sometime this week, as well as Bloody Mary Concentrate and Michelada. 

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Lemons, Oranges, Passionfruit and Lychee Purées, and Lemon and Lime Juice arrived before I did. 

Maintenance: When Eliel was opening Trees he noticed that the Lemonade bubbler had stopped working. It came back online of it’s own volition around an hour or so later, with no further issue. 

The Liquor License by the bubblers at Trees fell off the wall near the end of the night and neither myself nor Jenna could rehang it.
