Manager Communication: Pretty great day at Nitehawk. Busy theaters right away, and a maintained steadiness. Trees got some people in the later afternoon. Great vibes all around. EL

Busy dinner round, and several theaters with strong showings in the final round. Really effective teamwork again tonight, which led to a relatively easygoing Sunday night. Trees had a decent bar crowd through the initial seating of the last round of movies. JH

Customer Comments: A guest had a pass and wanted to see The Batman. I was just about to say they couldn't redeem a pass, when I saw the pass had my name on it, the word Tenet and the date of that fiasco, I gave the guest the pass.  One single pass for Batman. 

Helped some guests with strollers and booster seats as well. Many joyous children all around. EL

BAR Staff Observations: Tevon and Natasha opened Trees and Lobby. Ian was a 12:30 mid. I moved him around where needed, got him to batch and after that was done around 3pm I cut Natasha. Ryan was the Trees mid and rocked out with Tevon for the rest of my shift. Everyone did a great job. EL

Again, great work all around with a helpfully flexible bar team. Ian was brought up to Trees several times during service when Lobby was a bit slower and Trees a bit busier. After he restocked Lobby Bar for Jenna, he was able to get out of here once Trees’ dinner rush had passed. Similarly, Ryan was great this weekend, and worked the final round’s initial seating rush at Trees with Ashley. 

Both Jenna and Ashley did a great job holding down each bar solo once mids were cut, and both bars sailed into an easy close. JH

FOH Staff Observations: James was great at delegating drink trays and helping the newer servers. EL

Glassware was run, stocked, and restocked really effectively this whole weekend, which was due in large part to servers really effectively bussing and bringing down glassware throughout showings. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Collins glasses have been coming out of the glasswasher with drink residue left on them. It looks like the Fire Walk With Me and The Cinema Paradiso may be thicker drinks than the Blood Simple was. This, coupled with the chili salt rim on the Fire Walk With Me, has led to some glasswasher-resistant residue inside the glass. 

Once we realized this, we began treating the collins glasses like we would pint glasses that were used for floats, and just gave them a quick spray in the sink before running the rack through. Would it be possible for servers to load the glasses that held frozens upright in the glass racks like we do with floats, or would that overly impede service? JH

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Tecate and Michelada. There is a count on Dona Spice Soda. JH

Prep List: Ian prepped Strawberry Gin, Arbol Tequila, Firewalk, Lemonade and Cinema Paradisio EL

I made Demerara and Honey Syrups, as well as some more Lemonade. 

Due to several bar items (that were quite popular these past two weekends) containing a fair amount of simple syrup, we should scale up bar’s white sugar orders going forward. JH

Mobilebytes Issues: The Fried Chicken Sandwich no longer has a button to add cheese. Can we add that back? JH
