Manager Communication: Nice, steady Monday. Second round Batman had the largest crowd, but the other showtimes did fairly well, too. A welcome pop in service before Chopping Mall, followed by the Staff Appreciation Party. 

Customer Comments: I’ve had several guests the last two days ask Trees bartenders to charge their phones while watching a movie. We’ve communicated that they’re welcome to use an outlet out on the floor and sit with their phone, but have gotten some pushback on that, with one guest saying their server had told them the bar would charge their phone. Just something to review with servers and bartenders. 

BAR Staff Observations: Eliel and Ashley were happily set up by the time I came in at three, and it was a pretty mellow first round. Ashley held down Lobby all night, and Eliel was able to get out from behind the bar around seven. 

Jenna definitely has gotten stronger behind the bar, but still needs to work on multitasking when solo. We spoke briefly during service about the issues, but it was nothing that hindered service. Overall, she handled theater and bar service well, and was quick to pick up on the Staff Appreciation menu specs. After the initial push of service at the top of the party, she really took control of the rest of the evening. She also did a really solid close after a very long evening. 

Special Events? The Staff Appreciation Party was much appreciated. We added the Spider-Man cocktail special to the menu (replacing the Trees Blood Simple), along with the Shorts Festival cocktails and beers. 

All remaining cocktails and beers were returned to the walk-in, and the Blood Simple was put back into the frozen machine at Trees.  I left the remaining Shorts Featical cocktails in the smaller containers in case we use them as Trivia specials tomorrow night. 

The Chopping Mall screening also brought in a nice crowd to Trees before showtime. 

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: I moved the Trees candles and holders to to the prep area so they’re no longer on the floor. I don’t know if we want to assign candle responsibility to bar managers or closing bartenders, but that’s definitely something to communicate going forward. 

86ed / counts on items: 86 Zero Gravity Madonna and Cutwater Horchata.

Prep List: I made Honey Syrup, Arbol Tequila, Lemonade, the Iceberg Lounge, and a Paloma keg (needs to be charged tomorrow). 

Michelada and Hot Toddy will probably need to be made tomorrow. 

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: An order of spiral umbrellas (Iceberg Lounge garnish) arrived from Amazon. Both bars are restocked with them, and the remaining boxes are in the Liquor Room. 

Rachel came over from Williamsburg and brought: Biscotti Stout, Interboro Gin & Juice, Cardinal Bourbon Cream Soda, and Bly (Ancho Reyes dupe for Paloma). Ashley restocked both bars with product after closing Lobby and I have un-86’d all items on Mobilebytes. 

Mobilebytes Issues: The Staff Appreciation party drinks will need to be removed from Mobilebytes in the morning. They are all on the Bar Speed page.
