Manager CommunicationPretty good Brunch. Not super busy but steady. Nice crowds at trees throughout the afternoon. EL

Busy evening on both floors. Had a fair amount of walk-ins for the second-to-last round, which kept everyone occupied. The Oscars showing was a big hit, keeping Trees occupied with a slew of drink tickets from when the theater opened all the way past ten.

Near the end of the evening, around 11:15/11:30, the fire alarm went off. Jeannette will go into more detail in her blog. The majority of guests returned to their movies in the theaters that had their showings disrupted, and I handed out yellow ticket passes to all remaining guests in theaters 3, 4, and 7. JH

Customer CommentsGave a few credits for customers who didn't need all their tickets, and some exchanges.  I turned away four kids because three of them were teenagers but they had a Ten Year Old with them and they wanted to watch Batman EL

There was a couple at Lobby Bar early in the evening who said they had been gifted a gift card that had no funds on it, even though the card it came with said that it was for $150.00.  They had received it prior to COVID closures, so were checking to see if it was expired.

They had tried to use it to purchase tickets online, but the system prompted them to enter their credit card information instead, which was then charged. They were also unable to use the gift card during their showing. Tevon and I checked the balance of the gift card, and it was at $0.00. The couple were very understanding and patient, and I reached out to Gil to see if he could look up the transaction. Ultimately, Gil had me load the gift card to the states $150.00, and then comp the check.

The couple were very appreciative and said they will be back soon. JH

BAR Staff ObservationsJo and Nat Kundrat had strong openings. Jenna got her times mixed up and arrived an hour late. Jo handled Trees with ease and a little of my help. EL

Really strong work from everybody tonight behind both bars. Tevon handled Lobby Bar solo all night, kept busy with a steady stream of walk-ins and busy theaters.

Jenna, Ashley, and Ryan all handled a big Trees crowd and Batman Th2 load-in to start the evening. Jenna and Ryan took care of guest-facing interactions, and Ashley deftly navigated a very busy service bar with multiple highly-sold theaters.

The Oscars showing in Th1 had a steady stream of tickets from the initial seating before seven all the way through until last call in the theater. Very busy, consistent service tickets, which Trees was able to handle efficiently.

Jenna was able to get out of here after helping restock product and glassware once the Oscars rush had slowed down around 9:00/9:30. Ashley stuck around to help Ryan close Trees, and left him with only the frozen machines to break down. JH

FOH Staff Observations: A lot of great support at the service pass at Trees throughout the Oscar showing.  Both servers and runners really helped keep a steady stream of drinks headed into Th1. JH

Special Events? The Oscar screening in Th1 was a big hit and, as mentioned above, kept Trees busy throughout at the service pass. A handful of people stopped by Trees once the show was over, but the combination of a late Sunday night and the fire alarm going off near the end meant most people left right after the show concluded. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Keeping a muted walkie with in-theater hosts, for events like the Oscars this evening, would be helpful going forward. If a situation like what happened tonight with the fire alarm going off were to happen again, it would just get the information about next steps to take to the hosts, and thereby the guests, more efficiently.
