Manager CommunicationVery  busy morning and afternoon for Trees Lounge.  It felt amazing up there. EL

Busy dinner rounds at both bars this evening, with a more mellow last round. Trees had decent traffic all evening up until about 10:30/11:00pm, with Patio having a quieter evening. JH

Customer Comments: a customer came to ask for a credit for a ticket they were unable to use which was 2 weeks old. I informed them that we couldn’t honor passed tickets if they didn’t contact us before the show. They were unhappy with that and said they tried to call, but didn’t Leave a message. I told them to leave a message or email next time. EL

Two guests had attempted to purchase tickets for the 10:15pm screening of X, but the purchasing screen had frozen on them and when they tried to purchase them again, the seats they had selected were locked out. A pending charge for the tickets was reflected on their bank account, but searching by email or last four of their cc brought up no orders.

They were fine to purchase two tickets from me at Lobby Bar, after I explained that since the seats they initially selected had freed up it was most likely that the pending charge would not go through. I advised them that if the initial charge was processed that they could email us for an e-credit. The card is under the name Daniela Czenstochouski. JH

BAR Staff ObservationsJenn pulling double duty opened Trees with Chelsea and they both knocked it out the park. Natasha held down lobby bar.  Tevon and Ashley were great help at mids and we were able to get Jenn a break before her 2nd shift (what a super trooper) EL

Chelsea was able to get out just after four, and Natasha was able to leave after Ryan was able to do a restock for Lobby. Tevon was a great help upstairs at Trees until Jenna came in, and he also restocked wines in both the walk-in and Liquor Room.

Both bars handled busy services (and Filmbot issues in Lobby) well all evening. Tevon and Ashley left both bars restocked before clocking out, setting both Ryan and Jenna set up for close. JH

FOH Staff ObservationsIsabel (runner) did a fantastic job supporting the party today. Don’t know where’d we end up without her! EL

Special Events? Irish Parade Brunch party was great. The food and beverages flowed without a hitch and everyone seemed happy. Nice to see Marty Moskowitz! The entire staff worked so hard and smoothly for this one. Chennelle was great help as well. It’s always a pleasure to work with her. EL

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: When to write Staff on checks and when not to write Staff on checks. Chef Stewart caught a ticket for a clocked out staff member and I spoke to the bartenders about it.

Ashley informed me that the bar freezer was left slightly open overnight and the big cubes melted. EL

With regards to staff tickets sent to kitchen from Trees, I went over two main points with bartenders tonight:
1. When labeling a ticket, put the employees name first and then ‘Staff;’ and
2. If an employee is not clocked in, they are not allowed to select ‘Staff Food/Kitchen Pick Up.’  If the beginning of their shift is close enough in time that they will be clocked in by the time the food is ready, they should wait until clocked in and then check with Kitchen to see if it is an appropriate time for staff to order food.

The ladies room at Trees has had a tendency to be neglected during the weekends, particularly on busier nights.  It has gotten to the point that there is an unpleasant odor, due in part to the sanitary trash sometimes not being taken out for over a day and a toilet that clogged on Friday that has yet to be cleared. Additionally, the bar floor mats at Trees were not cleaned Friday or Saturday night, and are now very sticky. Just something to touch base with porters on.

Additionally, just a note for bar staff in regards to the drink special for X: the little black specks that build up just above the water line in the bubbler are from the vanilla beans. I’ve been having bartenders at Trees occasionally wipe down the build up to keep it from becoming noticeable to guests. JH

86ed / counts on items: Gun Hill is replaced by Guiness for the event and we’re going to go with it till we kill the keg. EL

86’d Zero Gravity Madonna, Victory Golden Monkey, Stillwater Saison, Other Half, Cutwater Horchata, and Cardinal Bourbon Cream Soda.

There is a count on Westbrook Gose. JH

Prep List: I made hibiscus syrup, árbol tequila, lemonade, firewalk, iceberg, and winter daiquiri
Tevon juiced Lemon and Lime. EL

Ryan made a keg of French 75 that will need to be charged tomorrow. I made Simple Syrup. JH

Pay Outs: $4 eggs EL

Lost & Found?: When breaking down Patio and locking doors I found a prescription bottle neatly placed on top of one of the stanchions. I’m guessing somebody dropped it and somebody else placed it there in case they had double backed.

I figure we could call the pharmacy tomorrow to see if they can get in touch with the person who lost their prescription. I left the bottle in the MOD’s office on the shelf next to the Server Training Folders. JH

Filmbot Issues: The card reader for Filmbot was down today, and we were unable to get it reconnected. Gerard has been in touch with tech support. JH
