Manager Communication: Very busy opening round today in Th1 and Th2. Both specialty screenings sold very well AND picked up a ton of walk in ticketing at the door. Energy in the theaters was great. Spirited Away was definitely mostly a soda and coffee crew; lots of families but the Hong Kong series crowd drank early and often. Lots of Bloody Marys. In the future, any brunch with well sold screenings like this we need to remember to brew 3 pots and have back up filters with grounds ready to go, as we did run out of coffee once at the height of service. JM

Chill Sunday vibes in the building tonight. Once the Super Bowl started, the Trees crowd happily moved to Th1. A few couples hung around Trees during the game, but it was overall a quiet evening. Some folks popped back to the bar for one last round after the game, but they didn’t linger. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Jo was excellent holding down a small but nice bar crowd alongside the two busy theaters. I only had to hop back to help right as Th1 sat while Th2 was still trickling in and there were a lot of tickets, but otherwise she was excellent. Good open by Natasha, who also had a steady opening round and did really well. JM

Tevon stuck around and helped Ashley through the initial push for the Super Bowl seating, and then was able to get out of here once he did some light batching and both bars had been restocked. 

Both Ashley and Ryan did a great job holding down both bars tonight. The night wrapped up pretty quickly after the Super Bowl, so they were able to close with relative ease. 

The Super Bowl drinks were brought back to the walk-in. JH

FOH Staff Observations: Wyatt and all runners did a great job in Th1, which had steady orders throughout the game. JH

Special Events? The Super Bowl had about two dozen guests, and then a handful of staff trickled in halfway through the first quarter. A lot of ordering throughout. JH

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Tecate. 

Other Half is on a count, and all in-house Miller High Life is stocked behind the bars. JH

Prep List: Made two Firewalk with Me, otherwise we are well batched going into the week. JM

Tevon made a double batch of Nut Punch. We are down to our last five cans of pineapple juice (30 oz left in house), so have enough to make one more batch. 

I made Arbol Tequila. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor tomorrow (OJ, Grapefruit Juice, Oat Milk, Almond Milk). JM

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
