Manager Communication: Steady day, punctuated by the HBO event which brought a large crowd to Trees, both before and after the screening.
BAR Staff Observations: Jo and Ryan held it down during brunch, and I was able to get Jo out of here after she did some batching once Ashley arrived. Ashley, Jenna, and Ryan all did great at the event tonight, and I was able to get Ryan out once the initial service push of the HBO screening was finished.
Again, everyone was great working the event but Ryan deserves a shoutout. Ryan was a massive help today, working a clopen that turned into an eleven-hour day because of the HBO event. I spoke with him around five to check in and make sure he was okay with staying for the initial push of the event, and he assured me he was. I was able to give him a break in the time between Family Meal and the event starting, which he was thankful for.
Special Events? The HBO event went well, and kept both bars busy during the later rounds.

It was a little hectic at the start, as a lot of set up and prep was verbalized day of (meaning that bar staff was unable to do any event prep before my arrival), and then the guest list jumped in number shortly before the event was due to begin. Additionally, some HBO staff were quite rude to Ashley when she was assisting other guests, which was less than helpful. But, beyond that, the event ran smoothly and, as mentioned above, brought in a great crowd to Trees on what would have been an otherwise quiet evening.
Ashley was a great help directing guests who came to Lobby Bar with a lot of questions, and both Jenna and Ryan really did a great job serving guests and keeping an eye on the floor to bus when appropriate. I really only had to hop behind the bar to help them in the last thirty minutes before showtime, as there was a crush of guests at Trees who were happy to have a round before heading in.
Theater service hit Trees hard, but, again, both Jenna and Ryan were able to keep up with it, no problem. A small group of guests made their way back to Trees post-event, but most did not linger.
86ed / counts on items: There is a count on Cardinal Bourbon Cream Soda. All in-house Winter Daiquiri, Rose, and Pinot Gris are stocked behind both bars.
Prep List: Jo made Lemonade, Fire Walk With Me, Blood Simple, and a Paloma keg (which is charged and ready for service). I made Arbol Tequila.
