Manager CommunicationThe snow definitely kept some people home today, but the middle rounds definitely rose in ticket sales throughout the day. A good chunk of staff was late this morning due to transit issues, but everyone was prepared and ready for open, so no impact on service at all. We also got a pretty decent bar crowd at Trees from 3:00pm onwards. JH

Bar crowd at Trees Stayed strong all night, lots of people definitely choosing to drink and hang rather than head back out in the cold. Kept a really good energy on throughout the shift. Theater service were short and sweet but numbers grew nicely and overall, we had a pretty good day. Definitely nice to see a crowd, mostly local, appreciative of us being open and coming out regardless of the weather. JM

Customer Comments: Had a strange end of night interaction with a man who came in, asked at the door for the nearest hospital and an ambulance so obviously, MODs were called. The man could not tell me what he needed the ambulance for, and ate a brownie while I tried to ask why I was calling. I told him I wasn't going to call without knowing the reason, and he just finished the small brownie and left. I think maybe he just wanted somewhere warm to eat it? No call to 911 was placed, did not see him again.

BAR Staff Observations: Both Chelsea and Natasha did a great job opening and working through brunch. Both of them were able to be cut shortly after closers arrived. Jo came in as mid for Trees, and was able to cover both bars for restocks and breaks.

This new, leaner bar staffing schedule on Saturdays has been great the last two weeks. JH

Ryan was cut from the night. He had a Covid scare very close to him and combining that with the weather and slower numbers, I cut him and we ran well without him. Thanks all around to the staff for getting in and staying positive throughout the shift, in all departments.

Sick Leave/Call Outs: Ryan’s partner, as well as several other people he was in contact with, tested positive for COVID. He is currently awaiting test results. As ticket sales didn’t rise as much as usual during business, he was cut and Ian will close Trees solo. JH

Prep List: Bloody will need to be made tomorrow, but we had plenty for service today and to get things started tomorrow so we held off. There is concentrate in the low boy. JM

Maintenance: Theater 4 Heat is not working, everyone is well aware and Matthew is going to get Palco out.

Also, the right hand exit door is not closing once opened. Especially with the cold weather, it was brutal for the lobby staff so we put signage up to direct guests out of the other door. JM
