Manager Communication: Mellow Monday service, punctuated by a nearly sold out screening of Speed Racer in Th1. Definitely brought guests to the bar beforehand, and provided a lovely little pop on an otherwise quiet evening.
BAR Staff Observations: Gerard mentioned this in his blog post, but Ashley put in a food order for herself at the start of service. He spoke to her, and when I checked in when I arrived she apologized and said she understood the best practice going forward. After that, she held down Lobby all night without issue.
Ryan was a great help at Trees, staying through the initial push from the Speed Racer crowd. Both Ashley and Jenna were able to do their closing restocks while he watched each bar, and then got out of here around ten.
Jenna took some time to warm back up into a heavy service rush when Speed Racer sat, but found her footing quickly and was able to hold it down at Trees for the rest of the evening solo. Once Speed Racer let out we had a fair amount of guests grab one last round at Trees while they awaited the voting results. I hopped behind the bar momentarily to help out, and then Jenna was well on her way to closing the bar after that.
FOH Staff Observations: Sarah B. was great at running drink support for the Speed Racer screening.
Special Events? Speed Racer definitely brought in a bit of a Trees crowd from about 8 until doors opened, which was nice for a Monday evening.
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Kaya was unaware that Happy Hour ended at 5:30, and gave the impression that servers in general were unaware of the change. Just something to include in the next weekly email so everyone is back on the same page.
86ed / counts on items: 86’d Gun Hill Stout.
Prep List: Ryan made a keg of Paloma, that will need to be charged tomorrow. I made Arbol Tequila and Fire Walk With Me, as there was none left in the walk in after both bars restocked at close.
Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Meinklang arrived, and was put away. The wrongly delivered wine was not picked up and is still in the Liquor Room.
Maintenance: Trees definitely had a case of the Mondays during the first round, but we were able to find solutions for the problems that arose.

Additionally, both myself and Gerard checked the site and could not find happy hour info posted, so putting the information up there would also be helpful for guests.

Lemonade will need to be made tomorrow, as we are waiting on a Baldor delivery of lemon juice that was delayed due to the snow this weekend. Winter Daiquiri could also be batched tomorrow.

After putting together the bubbler last night after cleaning the Lemonade side, Gabrielle and Ashley forgot to turn back on the refrigeration. Ryan caught this fairly early in the day, as the machine and product within it were exceptionally hot. Unfortunately, we had to dump the remaining Winter Daiquiri in the machine. Ryan cleaned it and refilled it with new Winter Daiquiri.
The frozen machine for the Blood Simple at Trees kept over freezing and seizing during the first round. It appeared to have been put back together correctly, so the two times it happened we set it to drink and then slowly turned down the temperature. It did not reoccur the rest of the evening, so just something to keep an eye on tomorrow.
There was an odor at Trees just by the glass washer this afternoon. Ryan had already looked at both drains to see if there was any blockage, and found none, by the time I came in. I ran some sanitizing solution and hot water down both drains, and cleared out the grills with a pick. It certainly seemed to lessen the odor, but again just something to check on tomorrow.
