Manager Communication: Solid brunch today, we are slowly but surely building up the meal period for business. Two bartenders on worked well, even with the brunch party at Trees Lounge and the later swings gave us a high concentration of staff later in the day, hopefully will be beneficial. No issues with brunch service, nice and easy alongside the event.
We got crushed today and it felt great. Everyone kept up with the onslaught very well. At one point it was nothing but busy for a few straight hours and didn't relent. That's when Jen came up to help restock while everyone hustled.
Customer Comments: One customer somehow got in to get a ticket then left and then tried to come back in but didn't have proof of Vax. He argued with Hilda and was quite rude to her. I gave him a refund and asked him to leave. He went home and later came back with proof, purchased another ticket and went into his movie.
BAR Staff Observations: Ivan did not only a great open but held down the lobby extremely well. Gave me the flexibility to focus on the event.
The Night team was tight. Jen & Ryan downstairs held it down, and helped upstairs a bit. They cut extra fruit when we couldn't spare an upstairs bartender to do it. I jumped behind the bar upstairs and downstairs a couple of times to lend some support. Trees was run like a well oiled machine with Ian on expo during the busiest of it, Tevon and Gabrielle were very strong at front facing and grabbing drinks for expo.
FOH Staff Observations: Drink running for brunch was well managed, 4&6 seem to be finding a better groove when it comes to ringing and pulling trays for the top floor.
Hiring/Training: Jen Rocks. She was very helpful and jumped upstairs and helped stocked when it was very busy.
Special Events? NewFest Filmmaker Brunch was easy to execute. More like 55 guests than 75 but they came both for the brunch and back to the bar afterwards and were in very good spirits. Not a heavy drinking crowd, but they ate a lot of the food and flew through coffee (they also had an event last night, could be a contributing factor).
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Batching to smaller containers, openers using time to set up the rest of long weekend days (garnish prep, heavy stocking etc.)
86ed / counts on items: Lambrusco and High Life 86'd
Prep List: Made Ginger Syrup, may need a keg of Old Fashioned or French 75 tomorrow. Will need Bloody concentrate this week.
Pay Outs: $17 for Grapefruits, I lost the receipt and I am sorry
Lost & Found?: (Eliel) A customer thought they lost keys in theater 2. Tevon took their info for me so I texted them to see where they were sitting. I searched and didn't find anything. An hour later they texted me and said they found it at their house.
