Manager Communication: Pretty good day. Slow start but it picked up during and after the dinner run. Pretty good bar business at Trees Lounge for a Wednesday.  Tales from the hood had a great crowd. I wish we can pair this type of programming with something at Trees.  

We ran out of Old Fashioned around 6-6:30. I didn't check it when I got in. I went off the email last night so I thought old fashioned was good. But I should've checked. That's no excuse. I'll make sure to check the weights of the keg first thing I came in.  Ian and I batched a precise keg in about 12 minutes. 

Customer Comments:  

Around 8:15 -8:35 I received a call from Chelsea saying that two customers were about to get in an altercation.  I ran down from Trees immediately and by the time I got there I was told that the threat was gone. Chelsea and a customer told me that a man with a red jacket and a dog leaned against the glass with the dog, and rolled a cigarette right up on the customer and her partner.  They asked if he could move over and he yelled obscene explicit things to them. They didn't repeat what the man said. Four other customers sitting across from them confirmed their account. Chelsea asked him to leave and he told her to "Fuck Off".  I saw him from behind walking away across on the circle and watched him till he went away. I apologized to the couple and offered them a round of drinks, which they happily accepted.  I've seen one of them there a couple of months ago, and she was nothing but pleasant. Everyone seemed happy with the resolution. 

Five people left the 9pm Titane today. One person passed out during the movie. Her two friends took her out of the theater and laid her on the 3rd floor hall couch. I happened upon them looking for the projectionist. I asked if they needed any help. They explained that it was too much for her and she passed out so they took her out of the theater. I did overhear them mention taking edibles earlier in the evening. I tried to help but they said they were fine and just needed a few minutes there. I checked up a few minutes later when I saw one of them at Trees settling up their theater tab.  I gave them passes and escorted them to the elevator when they were ready to leave.  A. few minutes later a couple from the same movie asked to settle their tabs at lobby bar. They left because they couldn't take the extreme nature of the film. I gave them passes as well.  

BAR Staff Observations:  Ian and Chelsea did a great job opening. Isi was solid. Seemed she wasn't 100% ready for the pick up of business. I jumped back and helped her a bit and she quickly regained her center. I know the jump from slow to busy can be a bit jarring. I'll make sure to make sure to give some motivation before the jump.  She was great otherwise. Handled the rest of the night pretty well. 

Ian was really good helping with the batch load and an emergency Old Fashioned. 

Chelsea was great during the earlier mentioned incident. Her business picked up as well and she did a great job zipping around the patio and lobby. I helped with a few drinks and tickets here and there but she totally had it under control. 

FOH Staff Observations: Juliana was great running from bar to bar grabbing checks after the people left. She was pretty good picking up her 3rd floor drinks too. She glides with a full tray. It's pretty cool to watch. 

Special Events: The art event only attracted 6-7 people. They were very pleasant.  Great Art Work.

Tales From the Hood had a great crowd and Desmond gave a wonderful introduction. Shea from Trivia was in attendance, she's great. I'm very excited for the Shea Trivia era. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
