Manager Communication: Joker has arrived! The impact is immediate, we were busy for Joker showings for all rounds, and did solidly well for other shows for the dinner and late round as well. Steadily busy on both floors throughout the night, this crowd is also populating the bar nicely before and after shows. We had a no show bartender for Lobby bar, but Susan did an excellent job holding it down with manager support only needed when we had large numbers of guests coming in with ticketing. Her theatres were on the slower side so no issues or impact to drink speed and service. Kept Susan until close, still out without spread of hours. Kept Antonio to midnight as well, lots of stocking and some last minute batching needed.
Customer Comments: We had a bonkers line situation prior to the 9:30 pm Joker. Someone changed the line sign at the front of the line, but not the entrance and some guests thought the back of the line was the front of the line. I was able to figure out who came first on either side of our two-pronged line. One guest was really irritated while I was trying to figure it out and worked up about making sure he got a good seat as he was towards the "front". I eventually had to get authoritative with him, tell him that I was dictating the way the line ran fairly and he had to go along with it. He was seated towards the front, I doubt he was further upset by the ordeal, but maybe we'll hear from them? He was out of line in trying to talk over me, even other guests in line told him to pipe down so I could tell everyone how to proceed.
BAR Staff Observations: William and Antonio did really well upstairs, but still needed some back up to make sure we got to guests and sold out theatres promptly. No discredit to them, it was just a lot of volume at once but we had FOH managers to aid with tray building while I got behind the bar for the rushes. Antonio needed to have his focus fine tuned a few times, he tends to not sense the urgency and not dedicate to doing one thing at a time.
FOH Staff Observations: Staff was solid today with drink running promptness, much better communication and clear but assignment of servers to drink running after their shifts. Things seemed very smooth.
Prep List: Kung Fu tonic syrup, Firewalk at some point tomorrow but there is enough to get us going. We will also need more Last Laugh. Got Mae West, Bianco and NA stuff batched today, and some kegs.
Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Pre-weekend Baldor tomorrow.
Maintenance: Door stop exiting the lobby bar by theatre 3 side lost its rubber base and does not work anymore.
Filmbot Issues: Lots of weird FilmBot behaviors tonight, we had some printer issues at kiosks, inability to issue credits at one point. Kind of like hitting a lot of moving targets tonight to get it working properly, but they were super prompt in helping us and it wasn't a huge hinderance.
