Manager Communication: A slow to steady morning again, gave way to a nice dinner round that was on par with Saturday. Earlier late round shows did well, later shows were no shows or close to it. A well compartmentalized day when it came to business flow; we got to make good staffing cuts and keep things tight. Had plenty of time to execute good service and also get cleaning and batching done without having anyone on the clock for longer than needed. Bar business was steady for the morning and day time, pretty slow at night however.

Customer Comments: It was also covered in the FOH blog, but we had several guest issues and altercations tonight. I dealt with one in the lobby from Theatre 6. The guest in questions broke several rules and was loud and dismissive to Kylie when confronted, so we kicked them out of the theatre They came downstairs heated (well, the woman was heated, her husband was trying to do damage control) and told me they wanted a refund. I explained that they were not entitled to one. They pulled the classic "but we're not seeing the movie now" and I explained that the reason they are not seeing the movie was their unacceptable behavior towards our staff and fellow guests. The woman argued circularly with me for a while and I told them that their choices were to take yellow passes or to leave. They told me they wouldn't use them anyway, and I said that wasn't the fault of anyone here. When I turned to get yellow passes, the woman used a homophobic slur and I told her to forget the passes, they were not welcome here anymore. She continued to try to argue, and Michael and I had her leave. Her husband apologized profusely. I gave him a pass for himself and doubled down that she was not welcome back.

We also had a drunk and disoriented guest in Th 1 get into an altercation with the guests sitting next to them. We removed them and told them they had to pay. They were heavily disoriented, not really understanding what was going on. There was certainly something besides alcohol at play. We got them to pay and they left.

BAR Staff Observations: Great work by everyone tonight, Caleb closed for the first time in a while and did an excellent job.

FOH Staff Observations: RM had an issue with an unsynced iPad backing up her drinks for several, props to staff, both management and service, for making sure her drinks were caught up with and delivered quickly.

Prep List: No immediate needs. Keeping our batched of theatre cocktails tight right now, as well as low-volume moving cinema cocktails that are changing in a few weeks.
