Manager Communication: 

Busy busy busy across all floors and theaters from the moment we opened today.  Lots of movies grew in sales over the course of the day, and most theaters sold out, or came close to it, in several rounds.  Overall, service was smooth, and I think staffing the bar like it was a Saturday really helped us navigate a nonstop four rounds of service. JH

I think we should post a sign downstairs on the ladies room noting that there are many more bathrooms and more generously sized bathrooms on the second floor. There was a long line today.-LB

I know it would be unlikely to be possible, but a heat pump vent nearer to the service well at Trees could keep some of the humidity that leads to a lot of issues in check.-LB

When we have draft choice come ahead of next menu change, I think we should have them replace the Three's brewing apparatus. It takes entirely too long to get it going sometimes. It is a very popular beer. -LB

BAR Staff Observations: 

Greg and Tevon got both bars ready for open, and slid right into a very busy service from the start of that day.  I hopped behind Trees for a bit once all four theaters on the top two floors were open and in service, and Tevon was great at floating between helping guests and grabbing drinks for theater tickets.  

Gabrielle held down Lobby with Greg, and then went up to Trees to help them out until Matthew got in.  Fran did take his New Hire Quiz, and Lauren will be reviewing it with him later today.  Fran really has a good grasp of our drinks and really excels when talking to multiple parties at the bar.  I had lead bartenders make sure he got some time in the service well when it was busy so he can get more practice with multiple theaters firing at once. JH

Fran is definitely acclimating to the flow, but needs to understand how to stay in a position, this is different than other bars, but he was rolling with an exceptionally busy mid shift today. He did much better on the quiz today and I went over the areas that needed more focus.-LB

FOH Staff Observations: 

Breanna, Monica, and Torey were all absolute rockstars at the Trees service pass this morning.  Just really cognizant of when other theaters needed support, and helping with glassware when I had to do service with Tevon for a minute. JH

Unbelievable support and teamwork from all the servers. Alex dropping food at Trees. Servers helping in dishpit. A really smooth helping attitude from everyone helps so much during crushing rounds like today. Go Team!-LB

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Matthew mentioned that it could be beneficial to have a floor server at Trees on Friday through Sunday. We have really seen an increase in business and food sales. So it could be net positive for growth.

Secondly, we end up with a lot of water cups in the Trees dish racks over the course of the day, it might be advantageous to keep only 16 oz water cups stationed at Trees water station to keep the water cups available in racks for theaters. -LB

Made a bunch of stuff when I got in, and Tevon was able to get us ahead on Back to the Jungle & Cobra Chai.  The children demand lemonade, so let's make sure we are checking how much Simple Syrup we have in the walk in before doors. JH 

I batched 2 lemonades to carry them through the night, Tea and Arbol tequila. I have a running bar prep list ever growing for Tevon tomorrow-LB

Baldor arrived before doors, and Manhattan, Southern, & Winebow all arrived during daytime service. JH

The US foods order I placed yesterday did not go through. I was in the liquor room and the wifi doesn't always make it in there or I must have gotten pulled away for a call/ice machine. I don't know, I know I had it all ready to go.  I realized this tonight way too late. I emailed the new US foods rep to see if we can get any syrups on a truck for delivery tomorrow. I will find a solution to this annoying problem that I seemingly have caused. We went through massive amounts of soda today. Instacart has bag in box from restaurant Depot, so I will figure this mess out.-LB

Maintenance: 

The ice gods looked down upon us kindly overnight and this morning, and both ice machines have been making ice without issue all day.  We are keeping the hoods off and fans blowing, but that is a small sacrifice for ice. JH

Natasha said the Trees floor was repeatedly soaking wet tonight. She suspects one of the pipes for the sinks on either side of service well could be leaking. It could also just be massive condensation.-LB


Mobilebytes Issues: There seems to be a double button in the POS for Trees Lounge and it was erroneously used by Greg for a double. If it can be removed. I will go over this protocol with him.-LB
