Friday 04.04.25 Jenn/Gus/Jenn

Manager Communication:
Jenn & me for the bar today. I had a meeting and Jenn opened the building. She took over for Ariel for the PM, so pulling the double. Plenty of floor managers. We all made it work. _GS

Pretty bopping, but laidback, Friday tonight at the bars.  The big theaters sold really well the last two rounds, and some of the small theaters filled up, too.  Minecraft is definitely bringing out the kids, parents, and large groups, and they are loving the Piglin Punch.  However, since Minecraft led the charge for most of the dinner round, Trees had a pretty mellow crowd for the night, and everyone had cleared out by eleven thirty. JH

Customer Comments:
Tevon told me an older couple doesn't like our new happy hour. I didn't have the chance to speak with them. Not too worried about it though. I feel good about our offerings and comments like these will happen from time to time. -GS

BAR Staff Observations:
Bryan came in ready to rock. Tevon was really on top of it today as well. -GS

Stellar crew tonight.  Jeshua held down Lobby solo after everyone had grabbed family meal, and Tevon got us batched up.  Trees service pass was busy all night, and Bryan, Gabrielle, and Matthew had it down to a science.  Because we had smaller crowds at Trees tonight, each bartender had the opportunity to really take some time in the service lulls to chat with some guests.  Definitely building up some regulars who are happy to just hang at Trees, which is always nice to see. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Ariel reached out looking for coverage and neither Lauren nor Ian could cover.  I volunteered to just work the double, and Ariel will work my upcoming Wednesday close. JH

86ed / counts on items:
Found (4) sneaky cans of Al's when doing inventory today, so put them back on MB with a count and let servers and bartenders know. JH

Prep List:
I fixed the Negroni keg that was an issue yesterday (I believe whoever made the keg didn't put Campari in it (or not enough) I poured it all out and put some of it in a taster cup, added a dash of marshino liqueur and orange bitters. It tasted like my favorite cocktail, a Martinez, which confirmed what I suspected. So I measured the volume, broke it down and and added the subsequent amount of Campari we needed. I ended up adding some other stuff to balance it out. tested it next to a regular negroni to compare. I instructed Lauren that when the next keg kicks to simply pour what is in this cambor straight into a keg and run it. Lets get through the keg and just be especially careful moving forward -GS

Tevon prepped
-Shorts drinks
-Lemonade
-Ice Tea
-Sour Apple mix (we used all of it- going to buy a couple more JIC) **needs to have green dye added**
-Firewalk
-Lemonade

I made whiskey 17 as well -GS

Sour Apple mix took priority on the the hot plate tonight, so I would definitely suggest openers get an early start on making more Simple Syrup, because lemonade is flying.  We are stocked behind the bars and in the walk-in for the first round.  Just something to be mindful of. JH

Lost & Found?:
A hand-knit keychain of a bunch of french fries in a french fry box flipping the bird was found at Trees Lounge.  He is happily hanging in the office next to the CPR Kit.  I already love him and hope we can adopt him if he is not claimed. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:
12%, St. Agrestis, Skurnik, Southern, & US Foods arrived. JH

Maintenance:
When Dwight was closing doors he noticed that the front gate would not come down all of the way, stopping at about a foot or so from the ground.  We raised the gate back up, double-checked that the doors were locked, and then brought it back down, but still could not get it to reach the ground.  Ultimately, we we were able to bring it down low enough that the bottom of the gate is hovering just a few inches off of the ground.  We should probably test it first thing in the morning though, just in case it is still being finicky. JH

Mobilebytes Issues:
The Friday HH didn't include a bunch of stuff, I fixed it. -GS

Shae left an open tab at Trees Lounge, if someone could please have her take care of it when she gets in tomorrow.  I could not tender it to Bad Debt/Walk Out because the tender would not cover the tax on the check.  It has been a while since I had to Wall of Shame somebody, so there may be a workaround that I have forgotten.  I just comped the check so Trees could run money, and left the receipt (both the tender attempt and the regular itemized receipt) in the office.
