Manager Communication:
Service started off with a very busy The Fall screening in Th1, and it remained busy throughout the rest of the day.  Dogman was basically sold out for every screening, and The Brutalist sold well for both of its rounds in Th2.  Trees had some guests in the morning, and really filled up at around 3:00pm.  Lots of groups with lots of kids. JH

Dogman continued to crush throughout the dinner round, coupled with extremely sold smaller theaters. Manager presence was on point - Dee is a pleasure to have on board the management team! - IP

Customer Comments:
A guest in the 1:00pm Dogman in Th2 asked to speak with a manager after the movie was over.  I spoke with her, and she said that there had been a child in the screening barking loudly throughout the movie.  She had alerted a server during the preshow and was told management was dealing with it, and she seemed disappointed that the barking child was not removed from the theater.  I explained that management was aware of that guest, and had spoken to them during the preshow and been informed that it was a tic related to a disability, so we did not ask them to leave.  I gave her two yellow passes and told her that should a similar issue arise in the future she could always come down to box office to exchange her tickets for a later showing. JH

BAR Staff Observations:
Bryan and Matthew really set each bar up for success this morning, and sailed through the first busy service pushes with ease.  Tevon got in just in time for our first sold out Th2 Dogman, and we were absolutely flying through lemonade and cherry lime slushies, so let's make sure to keep an eye on our levels in the walk-in.  Once Greg got in, Tevon went back down to lobby to support some sold out service pushes, and then came right back up to Trees.  Bryan really took lead with guest-facing service today once both mids were in, and I had Tevon run backup for Greg who took the lead on the service pass. JH

The team is really locked in behind the bar. Was able to get Matthew out of here after a little batching around 5:45 - and after a busy rush in the lobby, Tevon cut out around 8:00. Greg, Jeshua and Darius did a great job behind the bar, but their communication across the board could be a little more vocal. It didn't hinder service, but there were a couple times where we almost lost the plot, but every time they were able to pull it together and get back on track. - IP

FOH Staff Observations:
Opening round was a little shorthanded due to call outs, but service still went well.  We took a couple of pauses at Trees when traying up drinks to make sure they were being run while fresh, and servers were generally very positive and helpful throughout. JH

I cannot overstate how much of a shining beacon of hope and quality service Monica was this morning.  She definitely kept Th1 organized throughout all the morning showings, even being down a server, and she was nothing but positive and helpful the whole morning.  I think she was a lead before she left, and she is definitely still taking on all of those responsibilities every service I work with her. JH

Servers working in Th3/5 have fallen into the habit of pouring their water tickets at the pass using the pitchers bar uses for Th7.  It crowds the pass, causes spillage, and is not what the service pass was designed to support, especially during sold out screenings.  Bar managers will keep an eye on it, and I will include it in this week's bar email. JH

Hiring/Training:
I had Greg take point on the service bar for the nearly-sold out Th2 3:30pm The Brutalist and, due to the amount of guests at Trees, he essentially handled the initial thirty minutes of service completely solo.  No broken glasses, and no missed or incorrect tickets.  He was definitely taking his time, and never appeared to get overwhelmed.

I didn't want him to feel like a bar manager was looming, so I asked Tevon to shadow Greg and pass on any corrections or notes to him in the moment, as notes from leads always land softer than notes from managers.  I remained nearby, grabbing ice and running a tower of glassracks through the glasswasher, so was able to keep an eye out for if service became overwhelming.  But, like I said, Greg absolutely handled that service push like a champ. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
We need to pop open the ice machine and give it a check for gunk in the mechanisms. Noticed some questionable debris in the ice tonight. - IP

86ed / counts on items:
Still keeping an eye on the Lyre's count, as we only have bottles in house at the moment. - IP

Prep List:
If the kids movies keep crushing tomorrow, probably going to need to make more cherry limeade and lemonade at some point. Also Dead Man's Chest. But we're good for the opening rounds tomorrow. - IP

Pay Outs:
$23.00 - 5200 FOOD - IP

Lost & Found?:
Black purse with gold fixtures found in Th. 7 - left in office. IP
