Manager Communication:
Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds. Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH
Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP

Customer Comments:
Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it. I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
Busy from the moment doors opened, with both bars navigating sold out theaters throughout the day. Patrick was a big help with second round rushes and getting the first push of special event drinks out at Trees. JH
Patrick and Darius had a good rapport in lobby tonight, which was really great to see. Jeshua and Bryan were excellent at Trees tonight for multiple sold out rounds and a pretty steady bar crowd all night. We had some glassware headaches at the tail end of the dinner rounds and I broke out another case of pint glasses - we definitely needed them. The team kept calm cool and collected and churned out another fantastic night of service. - IP
FOH Staff Observations:
Anthony and Caleb were absolute rockstars in Th4/6, and ground floor and Th1/2 servers were really on top of supporting each other to cover any gaps in service. Runners also were really communicative this morning about what could and couldn't be done, which kept service going relatively smoothly. Really great brunch team all weekend. JH
Can concur that Caleb is a real asset to have at the service pass. He is always at the right place at the right time and ready to jump in and run glassware, or unpack pints, or anything. No direction needed, just jumps in to help. Big ups. - IP

The Nat Geo event went well, although it did have a smaller turnout than expected. Raekwon was on top of it, and set the floor at Trees, too. Pretty mellow crowd, the food looked amazing, and bartenders were able to balance the event crowd, bar guests, and a nonstop service pass handily. JH

Going to include a reminder in this week's email about preparing for train delays and how to communicate with management when you are running late for a shift. JH

We're on our last kegs of Evil Twin, Singlecut, and Rockaway.
Prep List:
Did not have a chance to get to infusing Tarragon Gin today, but we still have Elphaba's Elixir in stock. If tomorrow's opening bar manager could get a start on infusing some more, we should be set for service. JH
I got us well prepped for opening tomorrow. Made two lemonades, a Princes of Maine, more Strawberry Sparkle Syrup and an Old Fashioned. - IP
Before the dinner rounds tomorrow we will need to batch more Elphaba's Elixir, more Tarragon Gin (I brought up a whole bunch of Tarragon from the kitchen - it is in the walkin), Cherry Limeade, 5 Spice Syrup, and Pear Maple Sage syrup, and more Bloody Mary Mix. Not sure how we're proceeding with Espresso Martini, but we have only what we have behind the bar. - IP

Something in between the ice machine and coffee stand in Trees lounge is leaking water. It's not a lot, but it's consistent. Not sure where it's coming from. If someone notices it happening tomorrow, maybe take a look?
Also popped into the Th. 2 server station because the dump sink drain was clogged. I got it unstuck with the hand plunger from Trees, and then the floor drain subsequently backed up. I got in there and cleared the drain but it might be a good idea to have a porter or Vlad take a closer look at the floor drains in general, and give them some love, as they're pretty gunky.
Speaking of - while Bryan was burning the ice in the main service well in Trees, the floor drain started backing up again - I think this is what was causing all of the flooding during closing. I got into the floor drain and unscrewed it and took out the main drain mechanism and BOY HOWDY, GUNK CITY. Totally 100% clogged. I got it fully cleaned and looking pretty, put it back in the floor and voila, drain is emptying like new. I think that is what needs to be done in Th. 2 under their dump sink - and any other floor drains throughout the building that might be backing up. But if you're getting in there, you'll DEFINITELY want to wear some gloves. Yuck. - IP
