Manager Communication:

Hope Lauren feels better soon! Today ended up working out fine despite the lateness issues from Lydia - we had a minute where Jenn put on her hero cape and jumped behind the bar to help finish out a busy crush of Wicked drink tickets, but after that, when Lydia arrived, service was smooth. - IP

BAR Staff Observations: 

The team has really found their groove with these busy showings. Aside from Lydia arriving well over an hour late, they were extremely good tonight. Darius was too - he seemed more focused and willing to jump in at the pass or to help a guest. Gab was a rockstar at the pass in the changeover from openers to closers - perfect mid-shift. Natasha was the real MVP as she held it down at Trees until Lydia arrived and then she went to the back and batched a TON. - IP

Sick Leave/ Call outs: 

Lauren was brought down by the NPPlague, so was out sick today. JH 

Not a call out, but a very delayed arrival.  Lydia got stuck in Long Island due to car issues, but did not reach out to let me know.  They text a lot of people about it, but did not text me, so I found out about fifteen minutes before their shift was due to start, which left us in a bit of a scramble.  I reached out to other bartenders to see if they could cover Lydia's shift, but no luck on such short notice. Ultimately, they got an Uber and got to NPP around 6:30pm. 

Lydia's next shift is this Monday, and I will issue them a written warning for excessive lateness and not properly communicating with management once they realized they would be delayed. JH

Special Events? 

Raekwon was on top of event prep, and bar was well prepared for the 6:00pm doors, even temporarily down a bartender. I stuck around until Lydia got in and the event was in full swing, and everything seemed to be bopping along. JH

The event was fantastic! The crowd was really nice and generous, and extremely well behaved and courteous to the bar staff. Really tidy to boot. Raekwon was absolutely incredible making sure everything went smoothly - from getting the space set up to making the musical performance happen - and they turned out to be really good! Bar team and kitchen killed it. We had sold out 1's and 2's happening throughout and nothing got bogged down. Darius, Gab and Lydia were really on it tonight. - IP

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: 

Please make sure we are posting the new special build sheets at each bar service pass when we launch new drink specials.  I updated them this morning. JH

86ed / counts on items:

We have no more Mr. Black in the house that I could find - meaning we couldn't batch more Espresso Martini. We have stock behind the bars but no backup in the walkin. 

Still 86 Ommegang due to tap issue. 

We have no more Tarragon Infused Gin. - IP

Prep List:

Natasha cranked out 3 Lemonades, simple syrup, a Glindade, Elphaba's Elixir, 2 Together is Betters, and a Firewalk. Later on while Lydia and Darius were wrapping up Trees, I batched a Travelling Companion.

We will need to get started on Tarragon Gin tomorrow first thing, a Princes of Maine (stocked at bars but no backup in walkin), and Espresso Martini (when we get more Mr. Black). - IP

Lost & Found?: 

One of the hosts of ST&B lost their wedding band today.  They searched Th1 and the trash, but could not find it.  Just keep an eye out for a titanium band that has the name Kelly engraved on it. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 

The US Foods credit for the bad box of soda syrup went through on Bevager, so I disposed of the box that was chilling in Bar Prep. JH

Maintenance: 

A tech from Coca Cola was able to check out our problematic soda gun early this afternoon, and got it back in action.  Let's keep an eye on it for the rest of the weekend, but it seems to be working without issue. JH

Mobilebytes Issues:

The socket server was moved from the office down to the lobby bar - Heartland was contacted and said they will be moving the socket back to the office, but I made sure the lobby bartenders didn't close out of MobileBytes. - IP
