Manager Communication: Pretty good shift. Busy busy! 

Customer Comments: 

Had a few guests who attended the Pavement screening this morning stick around Trees for a couple of hours (after having a couple drinks before and during the screening).  They never got out of hand, but Ashley did let both myself and Eliel know around five that she was no longer comfortable serving part of the party.  At that point, they had not been over served, but based on how long they had been at the bar, coupled with two members of the party getting louder and more animated in conversation as the day wore on, we thought it best to stop service.

Some of the guests were okay with our decision, but one did approach me separately to ask 'why we wouldn't accept their money.'  As it was nearly six at this point, I reiterated that we were happy to have them as guests both today and in the future, but that they had been at the bar for almost six hours and it was probably best for them to move on to another location.  They seemed to be a mixture of disappointed and offended, so I wanted to include this note in case anyone reaches out to us about this situation.

Again, things did not get out of hand, but Eliel and I agreed with Ashley that another round would have tipped some in their party into becoming a less than ideal guest situation. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Great Bar team today! Ashley did the early open for Pavement then did a bunch of batching when closers came in and everyone ate. Jeshua opened lobby then swung upstairs for dinner service and the party.  Tevon closed Trees and trained Kelsey, Gabrielle closed Lobby with smooth service all the way through, including for Step Brothers in th3. EL

Hiring/Training: Kelsey did great today at Trees Lounge. She took point on Service for a round and did a great job pacing and being precise. She worked front facing for the party and did a great job at that as well. EL

Tevon Notes: Kelsey's ready, I would just ask her to double check her closing ( frozies and register checkout) otherwise golden. TG

Special Events? 

The Pavement screening went well today.  Fair amount of people at Trees once Ashley and myself arrived, but they were happy to wait until we were set up at noon.  Decently busy at the bar in the time leading up to the screening, with a lot of coffee and bloody marys going out.  Had a mystery vaper at Trees before the general public was allowed in.  I could not figure out who it was, but went to that area of the room and reminded guests that vaping was prohibited in the building, and that it could potentially trigger our fire alarm.  There were no further mystery clouds. Most people who came to the bar during the screening were just looking for water, and not many stuck around afterwards.  

All orders were rung in under Ashley's MB number, and we did a checkout report just after doors opened at 2:50, and reopened the drawer under Trees.  Ashley clocked out and clocked back in after the checkout report, to more clearly delineate when her hours in the house tip pool began.  Unfortunately, we did forget to ring the tickets under Trees Private. JH

The Trees private event went great. A big group at first then still a pretty nice size group stayed till about midnight. Service went smoothly at Trees Lounge. EL

Prep List: We'll need a watermelon G&T and an old fashioned keg tomorrow but not urgent. Some more Apple Honey Cham syrup. EL

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: 

Ordered NuFoamicide from Fast Kathy, which should arrive tomorrow.  Baldor arriving on Saturday. JH
