Manager Communication: Busy, busy, busy all day.  Lots of new guests today due to $3 tickets, and theaters on all floors throughout were either sold out, or very close to it, for the vast majority of the day. JH

It continued to be busy for the rest of dinner both at Trees and in the theaters. Everything virtually sold out. It looks like there was a fair amount of guests that returned to trees after the film. EA

Customer Comments: A guest at Lobby Bar became irate and cursed out Tevon when she was unable to buy tickets to the 3:30pm Super-Pets screening in Th2, as there were no grouping of seats available to accommodate her group.  After Tevon explained that she could not purchase solitary seats throughout the theater for the children in her party, she proceeded to yell and curse at him, storming out of the building.

I was not at Lobby Bar when this happened, but Natasha got Sarah's attention and Sarah then relayed the situation to me.  I touched base with Tevon, after he came back from a cigarette break, and he seemed pretty unfazed by the situation, mostly frustrated that the guest escalated the situation so suddenly after he explained our ticketing policies. JH

BAR Staff Observations: Andrea and Tevon did a fantastic job opening up each bar, setting each floor up for success from the moment doors opened.  Natasha floated between both bars, assisting with service and restocks, once she arrived for her mid shift.  Once Chelsea was in, I had her do some light batching to top off some cocktails we had run out of in the walk in, and once she got to Trees, Natasha was able to get back down to Lobby Bar.  Really great communication between the team today, with bartenders being much more proactive about reaching out over walkie when they needed assistance with service.  JH

Darius, Miguel, and Gabrielle came in to close. They were on switched on from the minute they clocked. Considering trees was going off nonstop with ribbons of tickets flying from the heavily sold shows, Chelsea and Miguel were able to work tickets with Darius (and Miguel) handling the bar crowd.

Miguel was pretty on point today having told me that he didn't work his other job today. The lack of fatigue and the attention to detail was very noticeable today.

Gabrielle was able to take care of the last two 1st floor showings by herself after I got Natasha out of here. EA

Special Events? Three Dolla Tickets, Y'all.

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Still having an issue with newer servers ringing in theater tickets that are either confusing or against policy (i.e. doubles, mixer and splash of on the same drink, etc.).

In relation to the woman I mentioned in Customer Comments, could we either make our current Lobby Bar age policy sign larger/more apparent, or bring one over to Filmbot, like our to go menu?  Guests often try to figure out a loophole, or imply that the policy is not actually policy. These protracted, often emotionally-charged, discussions about our age policy are a common enough occurrence that can impede service at lobby bar, especially during our busier moments, particularly when there are a line of guests still waiting to purchase tickets.

Additionally, could we update the labels in the elevator by Th5 to signal where our bathrooms are located?  In the last week, I have found several guests meandering through staff only areas because they got off on the 2nd floor and decided to go exploring.  A sign on the shelves directly across from the second floor elevator doors pointing to Th1 and noting the rest of the area as Staff Only may also be helpful.  JH

Prep List: The only thing I didn't get a chance to batch again was the Neon Demon and the Firewalks. The augers have enough product to start the day, though.

There is a keg of Strawberry Mansion in the walk in that needs to be charged. EA

Pay Outs:
7550 DJ $150.

Porters:
Spent a good amount of time trying to hunt down Katrina because our recycling started overflowing. After she was located, she told me that she wasn't told exactly what she had to do as a FOH porter and that she didn't know she had to check the trash/recycling at Trees and the Bar Prep.

I ended up having to take the recycling out midshift because she said that she couldn't take it out due to weight. EA
