Manager Communication: Steadily busy day today with strong, nearly sold out Batmans for the dinner round. Drink rushes were sustained and busy, but well handled with no issue. Had plenty of time in between these long movies to get prep done, garnishes cut and breaks handled by all on today.

Customer Comments: Had two guests at the end of the night tell me that they had a subpar experience in Theater 1 at the end when their check came. The guest admitted he didn't put his card in right away and then his server checked back and told him he had to pay and knelt by the table until he did. He was upset that this disrupted the end of Batman and that he had waited a long time to watch it and found it unnecessary to be disrupted at the end. I apologized to him for the experience that he felt let him down, and explained that with the serious ramping up of business, servers are trying to find their flow with a lot of juggling of tasks. He understood, and was gracious and didn't want anything out of the complaint.

We should encourage servers to radio a manager and make them aware of a guest holding back on payment, even when they say they'll pay at the end, so that server doesn't have to mitigate these difficult moments or upset a guest here to watch an anticipated film.

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea held down the lobby all day today exceptionally well. It is definitely absorbing a lot of the FAQ attention now that the door person is gone, but overall she needed very little assistance which was a huge help as the upstairs theaters and bar business popped off. Gabrielle and Ian were great, constantly staying abreast of product and levels and stocking and even prep tasks to set up tomorrow with little guidance on my part.

FOH Staff Observations: For being tight on staff today, across the board, major props to the servers and runners today who were constantly moving and very efficient from my standpoint.

86ed / counts on items: 86 Biscotti Break

Prep List: Made French 75, Old Fashioned, Two Firewalk, Blood Simple, Michelada, 4 Iceberg and Lemonade today. Will need some syrups prepped tomorrow (Hibiscus and Simple) and also Daiquiri and Toddy made at some point.

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor Friday, Geyser Friday

Maintenance: Angelo installed the flower boxes today, which look amazing. He also took the doors to the cabinets to recut and reinforce.
