Manager Communication: Busy day. Steel Magnolias brought in a really large crowd for first round. Patio gained some traction as the day went on, and Trees built up its own crowd during the second round of screenings. JH

Busy dinner and late rounds, with nearly sold out Batmans and X for the dinner round on the ground floor. Made for busy service at both bars but well handled by three up and two down through the bulk of service. Bar crowds were good and steady throughout at Trees, mild Patio business as well. Once the rain hit we got a major bump at Trees that lasted through 10 pm. Tevon was cut around that time since he came in earlier, Chelsea cut around then as well to leave Gab to close Lobby. Good night. JM

BAR Staff Observations: Jo and Jenna did a great job opening both bars this morning, with Jo leaving shortly after doors opened (elaborated on below in Sick Leave/Call Outs).

Jenna really did a fantastic job this morning, having to handle a longer solo shift than expected, due to Tevon covering Lobby at the start of his shift.  Jenna and I spoke a bit more about stocking, anticipating needs, and communicating when running low on product during a rush, and she really settled into it.

Tevon, for the second weekend in a row, was a massive help coming in early to help with scheduling needs. Chelsea also handled Lobby Bar handily, working a solo shift until Gabrielle arrived.

Similarly, both Ryan and Ian showed up ready to work and dropped into service no problem.

Really solid work and communication all around today.  JH

PM team did a very nice job tonight, seamless service and guest facing bar at Trees and a busy but well handled lobby. Got to do some training with Chelsea on FilmBot and Comps/Voids, very nice having someone at FilmBot on a busy night that can handle exchanges etc. Both Tevon and Chelsea did thorough stocks before leaving and Ryan did as well as Pre-Closer. That staggered in time for Trees closers is working very nicely; the Pre-Closer focuses on product and glassware while the closer does late service and breaks down wells. Super efficient. JM

FOH Staff Observations: Servers did hit a bit of a wall tonight with drink service for the Th1&2 last Batman screenings, with slim presence at the bar to run drinks. I paused service, but there were lots of trays backed up and tickets still coming in while the board was full. Managers assisted and got them through and I pulled a runner at the height. JM

Sick Leave/ Call outs: Jo was still feeling under the weather today, but had text me early in the morning saying she felt well enough to work. She then reached out again a while later saying that she actually was feeling worse, and asked if she could be cut ASAP.

I reached out to both Chelsea and Tevon (scheduled as mids today) to see if either could come in early. Tevon said he was able, and I cut Jo when doors opened.  I covered Lobby Bar and Patio until Tevon came in at 11:45am. JH

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Other Half, Zero Gravity Madonna, and Cutwater Horchata.

There is a count on Stillwater Saison. JH

86'd Void of Light for the day tomorrow with Guinness on draft. I will be here Monday to see a movie and will get the taps hooked back up properly. JM

Prep List: I made Iceberg and Bloody Mary this morning before open. Jenna made Fire Walk With Me right before she clocked out.

A Paloma and and Old Fashioned keg will need to be made. JH

Ian made those kegs and a double Porn Star. Ryan did some back up cheaters for Trees. JM

Pay Outs: $19 for Cereal. JH

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: Baldor (Saratoga Sparkling & Still, lime juice, lemon juice, white sugar, limes, and Fever Tree Ginger Beer). JH

The Fever Tree FYI is because Geyser is out of Goslings until Monday. We did not run out of Goslings tonight but will tomorrow, so use Fever Tree for the day. JM
