Manager Communication: Mellow Saturday brunch vibes this morning. Howl’s Moving Castle sold just about half of Th2, and Spider-Man, Licorice Pizza (in Th2), and West Side Story sold very well. Not too much of a bar crowd early on, but Trees began to pick up around five. JH

Great dinner round tonight on all floors. Licorice and West Side Story selling out some smaller theaters with good Jackass crowds and all around solid sales made for a busy service bar on both floors. No issues with drink service, a really good night. 

Also, a GREAT bar crowd tonight. We had all tables, the bar seats and the mezzanine seated after the dinner round movies. Lots of tabs started, lots of folks hanging around and even a few guests that just came to go to the bar. A very positive and upbeat night at Trees with great guests and good vibes. It was great. Kept Tevon through 9:45 pm to see if the late round Jackass crowd brought the same, but not a lot of drinkers after that so I cut him. Routed Jo tonight since she works brunch so she could get out a little earlier. JM

BAR Staff Observations: Both Chelsea and Natasha did great opens and handled brunch service wonderfully. Once Tevon came in, he was able to help Natasha through a near-sold out Spider-Man, and then covered each bar while they were restocked. Both Natasha and Chelsea were able to take breaks in the afternoon. JH

Tevon broke all bartenders before stocking and leaving, Ryan and Ian were strong all night keeping up with rushes, guests and having plenty of product and well stocked bars. Genuinely impressive stuff all around from the team. JM

FOH Staff Observations: Darius in particular rocked it today, he was flipping around supporting and very prompt about drink running. Everyone was good, but he stood out. JM

86ed / counts on items: We are running tight on the Nut Punch, will likely 86 it tomorrow as all the batch we have in house is behind bars currently. 

Prep List: Tevon made a keg of Old Fashioned and French 75. The French 75 is currently charging in the walk in and should be taken off at 10:30pm. JH

I made Simple, Hibiscus, Grapefruit, and Demerara Syrups. The Grapefruit Syrup will need to be strained tomorrow. JH

Kegs and drinks all backed up, good stock going in to tomorrow. Major thanks to Jenn for batching lots of syrups and ingredients today after a heavy day of batching depleted a lot yesterday and this morning. JM

Filmbot Issues: A small thing to note that won't come up much, but if guests are splitting payment between cash and card, once the cash is wrung in there is no way to change it that I could figure out. Natasha hit $30 instead of $15 and luckily the guests had more cash to pay with, but if they didn't I was not sure how we could have remedied. JM

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
