Manager Communication: Great start to the day with strong showings in My Neighbor Totoro, Lost Boys, Spider-Man, and Death on the Nile at open. Numbers slowly climbed throughout the day, even with the sporadic weather advisory updates. JH
Great day continued, with tons of walk in sales and day of ticket sales into the dinner and select shows of the late round. Spiderman just won't stop, and Worst Person in the World and Death on the Nile also drove in really, really great crowds. Overall we had a busy bar from midday through 10 pm before and after shows and really substantial drink services. No issues executing. JM
Customer Comments: Refunded a guest for two tickets to Death on the Nile, as her child’s vaccination records were not correctly filled out (only the first dose of Pfizer was recorded). She was very rude and combative throughout my interaction with her, so I processed her refund quickly as she made it clear she had no intention to return. JH
One notable interaction in the PM that is also in the FOH blog. We had some confusion surrounding an order for a group of 4 never getting rung in Th1. Guests came up to the service station, said they had been looking for a server and said they were in "row 2" and handed off their order. This confused Jovani as there was no group of four in the actual row 2 (they were in the physical second row of the theater). It was a substantial order; a drink per guest, small plates, entrees and concessions. The servers never found where the food was meant to land, and the guests never got any of what they ordered.
Jeanette rushed their drinks as it was last call by the time they alerted us they never got anything, which we comped, and then I wrung them each up a $25 gift card and pass. Jeanette dropped these off and apologized once the show was over and they were very gracious and appreciative and said they will be back. Some need for critical thinking here, along with an understanding by service staff that they absolutely must, when handed an order, figure out where it is meant to go and never just let it die on the vine. JM
BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Jo were great at open today, with Chelsea well-stocked and prepared for back-to-back special screenings at Trees. Jo held it down at Lobby, and both she and Chelsea were able to take breaks after Ian came in. Ian covered both bars as needed, helping Jo with a well-sold Spider-Man in Th7, and assisted with restocks. Solid starts all around today. JH

Ian continued with batching help in the PM, making a Paloma keg. All staff was excellent tonight, with only a small need for some help during a big rush of guest facing bar while Ian happened to be covering in lobby. Otherwise, staffing was tight and excellent. JM
Special Events? Studio Ghibli films have really been a hit these last few weekends, with My Neighbor Totoro selling just under one hundred tickets this morning.
Lost Boys had just over fifty tickets sold, and we sent out vampire fangs with all the Blood Simples ordered during that screening, which guests enjoyed. JH
86ed / counts on items: Aztec Chocolate Bitters (waiting on a delivery of to finish off the Winter Daiquiri in the walk in). JH
Prep List: Chelsea made Blood Simple and a double batch of Michelada.
Both Nut Punch and Careful What You Wish For could be batched later, or tomorrow, but both bars are well stocked with backup. JH
Ended up making Nut Punch, Careful and Paloma Keg (needs to be charged tomorrow) and all bars are well stocked. Will need Firewalk tomorrow. JM
Maintenance: The ice bucket at Trees Lounge no longer has a hanging hook, as it snapped off when dropped today. It has been living on the shelf under the coffee, until we can replace it with a hangable bucket. JH
