Manager Communication: Slow start, good Elf, nice vibe all day. EL

Dinner round was nice and steady, and we had a fair amount of tickets sold for the last round. Service was fairly chill, with no disruptions to report. JH

Customer Comments: Had a group come to Trees after a West Side Story screening. That movie is making folks merry and some are hanging at Trees longer than after a usual flick. EL

BAR Staff Observations: Chelsea and Natasha had great solid opens. Ian Ashley and Tevon were great mids. Chelsea was cut after Tevon arrived and Natasha was cut after Ashley arrived and Brunch was stored for the week. EL

Really smooth transition into dinner service, and I was able to get all mids out once orders had died down, and after solid restocks and organization. 

Ashley was a big help restocking wines in the walk in and walking Jo through cleaning the frozen machines. Both Ashley and Tevon were able to clean one frozen machine for each bar before clocking out, with Isi and Jo handling closing handily. Very steady night overall. JH

Staff Meeting Agenda notes: I spoke to Kelly today and she let me know that she had experienced a few male guests this evening who made her feel very uncomfortable at the door when she was checking their vaccination cards and ids. She also voiced her apprehension concerning the new mandates coming in to effect before the end of the month, and requested that we set up a walkie station at the door check-in table. 

I reiterated that her safety and well-being is our priority, and to never hesitate to call for a manager when guest interactions sour or make her uncomfortable. Having a walkie at the front door table would really help her, and other people working the door, reach out to management more readily than the current set up where they have to either flag a bartender, or leave the door and walk over to Lobby Bar. 

I told her I would pass along her concerns and request to the rest of the management team. JH

86ed / counts on items: 86’d Zombie Dust and Interboro IPA. 

Each bar has one bottle of Lambrusco left, and all in-house Jungle Bird is in the bubblers at both bars. There is no more Paper Plane in the walk in, but both bars have it stocked. JH

Prep List: Made Arbol Tequila, Fire Walk With Me and Lemonade. EL

The Paloma keg from yesterday is charged.

I made a half batch of the Brooklyn (Jet’s Manhattan) before I left, as there was no more in the walk in. 

Hibiscus Syrup, Dress the Part, and a keg of French 75 need to be made, but both bars are stocked and there is some backup in the walk in. 

Eliel got rid of the remaining Bloody Mix after brunch ended, as it was dated from last weekend. He said he will make Bloody Mary Concentrate before Saturday. JH

Maintenance: The rail that supports the Theater 4/6 pass at Trees keeps getting knocked loose. I tightened it earlier in the week, and again today. Just something to keep an eye on. JH

Manager Communication:  Another very busy day, with Th1/2/3/4 pretty well sold, or sold out, for multiple rounds.  Nonstop from the moment doors opened. JH Pretty much same here for the evening. Very busy up until the last round, and lots of business at Trees. - IP Customer Comments:  Some guests this afternoon had an issue with Miguel's service at Lobby, and spoke to me about it.  I sent an email summarizing their complaints and what happened to upper management, in case they reach out in the future. Sunday 01.07 Ashley/Ariel

Manager Communication: Matthew and Miguel came in ready to crush this brunch. The Wizard of Oz, Wonka, and Poor Things all had great drinking crowds. Kelsey came in at 11AM & swung up to support Trees. Once Tevon got in we knocked out plenty of batches and syrups. We were able to cut openers soon after. -AB The Coconut Lime Slushie side of the frozen machine continues to be an issue. I don't understand because it's in the same style machine in Lobby, on the same setting. What do we do? (crying emoji, crying emoji). -AB We ran out of the Piña Colada umbrellas today. I was having bartenders just put a cherry in there. -AB2 I also no longer have access to this blogger anymore so I'm typing here from Ashley's account. -AB2 Customer Comments: Not a specific customer, but I noticed this weekend a lot of N/A Spritzers were being rung in "not too sweet". Manager Communication: The soda gun at Trees Lounge is having issues with Diet Coke. It has moments of coming out with no syrup. There is syrup in the bag still so I think Coca cola should be contacted to have it checked out before it is a further issue. -LB Super busy Sunday chilled out for a chill evening. -LB Customer Comments: While helping out Josef in the lobby today I had an idea that might streamline his tendency to takeover the attention of the lobby bartender or floor manager (or anyone who stops to chat, haha). Since he usually calls in to get his tickets beforehand, we know when he's going to be coming in - since he ALWAYS asks what movies we have coming up, and if we will have x, y or z - maybe we can print out an easily readable piece of paper with the upcoming schedule (as we know it) that we can hand to him and tell him all the information is on the paper.
