Benjamin Saturday 10/12
Manager Communication:
Slow first round, as our neighborhood was out of town for the long weekend. After that, busy the rest of the day, and mostly sold out from the 4's on.
We found good times to batch, and the mids were on decently long shifts, but we had no service issues, with hour and a half long drink rushes between the 2 big theaters.
Negroni Bianco is low, as is Barr Hill gin, so Nick, if you want to do a half batch with a different gin, we can, but otherwise we can 86 it and offer Mae West going into the week of Menu Change.
About the same amount of bar business as I expect, but less before shows, more hanging and drinking after. People definitely stay at the bar more now.
Customer Comments:
There was a walk out from a declined dine and dash in the last round in theater 1. Ellie called as soon as she noticed, she had already presented their check and asked for another form of payment. It was a bit of a strange interaction she had with him, as he said yea, and then crumpled the receipt up and put it in his pocket. She said again that she needed another form of payment and he said yea. As she went to process one other payment, him and his date walked out. I told her that when an interaction is that strange to just call for a manager immediately so we can keep an eye on them while she runs other payments. She was receptive and understood. Gil has info.
In the same theater, a man refused to call his bank at the very end of the movie (his card was declined most likely to a fraud hold, but it was his card, just sensitive MCU). I sent an email to Jess and Mascha with all the info.
BAR Staff Observations:
Really good teamwork all day. I was impressed with Ian and Adriana holding down the pass during the sevens. They were falling a tiny bit behind before I was able to expo, but killed it as soon as I was able to. One of the best performances I have seen from Adriana.
Rebecca and Ryan were the usual rockstars, and Tevon held down busy moments while Ryan batched. Everyone was great.
FOH Staff Observations:
Good drink running. Trays and glasses need to come back a bit quicker, but it was pretty good tonight.
86ed / counts on items: Donovon's reef as we have no falernum.
Prep List: Set for opening, will have to add tomato juice to bloody concentrate, batch a firewalk, batch a Gemini Man (you have the infused tequila), maybe a buddy love if it starts selling some.
Nick, can you make a call on Negroni Bianco
I prepped 1/3 batch silent era with the 4 bottles rittenhouse we had.
