Manager Communication:
Slow daytime rounds.  Jenn slept through her alarm, and was late to her shift.  Jesse wrote her up.

Family meal was very small, and about half the staff did not get any. We staff perked some meals and the kitchen made an additional 10 wraps.   It definitely affected morale.

The It theaters for the rest of the day were all very difficult.  Opening week is bringing out a culture clash between rather aggressive different style of moviegoers, and it is certainly very difficult to deal with, as it was with Us.  All sides have valid points, but on opening week, there is so much passion and aggression and they are all wrong.

The fire alarm went off at 11:10 while there were a few sold out theaters.  I was rerouting on the ground floor and immediately helped clear the ground floor while the other managers helped upstairs. We were fully evacuated before the Fire Department was here, and the staff was incredible in helping get the theater clear and guide guests.  We kept guests informed, many left, but many stayed.  Daniel did an amazing job of resetting and rewinding all the theaters.  It was a tough one.

Customer Comments:
During the 4 PM round in theater 2, we got an urgent call to theater 2.  I was the first there, and Jo informed me that a guest informed her that a man had peed in the aisle.  I found the guest and asked him to leave.  He wreaked of booze, and was in his fifties with long hair.  He had not been drinking here.  Susan said he had done it before (same person as last time).  Wears lots of rings.  He apologized and left when I gently confronted him.  I walked him down the stairs and to the bar elevator and saw him safely out.

For the 5:35 It in theater 1 we got another urgent call.  I was the first there, and a customer was yelling at another.  I got the guest out of the theater that was hot, as he was already on his way to the door.  I asked him to leave, and he resisted, so I asked for his side of the story.  Gil and I listened as he said he was quietly whispering to his wife to fill her in on the last movie, and the people were shushing them aggressively.   He said he was going to go outside and cool off, but wanted to enjoy the movie with his wife.  He was calming down and felt good to be listened to.  Judging the situation at this point, Gil and I both felt like that was fine but keep an eye on him.   I talked to the couple that he yelled at did not feel comfortable near him, and I offered them seats very far away, but they wanted to go.  They were dine n dash and I felt like I didn't need to comp the whole bill (around $120), and I offered them half off the bill. They left happy with passes. Ryan had an interaction later with the man and woman that stayed, and it is in the FOH blog.

In this theater there were other complaints of talking and shushing, and we had Michael hang out a while, but he said nothing was really happening.

Around 8:30, I saw a man at the kiosk take a puff on a jewel, and told him there is absolutely no vaping inside.  I think, in light of tonight, we need to have some larger signs for that, and maybe a stricter policy (i favor a no warning just gone, but this is obviously a discussion).

BAR Staff Observations: Everyone did a great job.  Especially Vanessa, Dylan, and Rebecca who were the ones still here at 11:20.  But all night, the bars were super self sustaining and killing it every time I checked in on them while I was dealing with all the other things.  We have amazing people and I made sure to thank them all for holding down service so well.

FOH Staff Observations:
Special shout out to Liv and Jo, who helped clear and guide a full theater 1, but really everyone gets my love tonight.

Prep List:
We will need mint syrup (I was about to do it, but then... The recipe is easy, it just needs about an hour to steep at room temp, so if this can be started early (we have enough for a half batch of the cocktail which will get us through the morning)

For perp during the shift, Firewalk, strawberry lemonade.  Good, but will need.  Then as we get staffed up, negroni bianco, alfredo, and the Come Home.  Might need a backup keg of Silent era too.

R&D comp checks:

Over/Short on Banks: $14 short at upstairs bar, couldn't figure it out.

Maintenance:

Mobilebytes Issues:  All the credit card readers went down (not sure exact time, but around 8:30ish).  Gil had them up and running in 5 minutes.

Filmbot Issues:
