Jesse Thursday 6.6

Manager Communication: Good pickup on initial ticket sales today. Bars got a nice push to both the front and service bars. Good team on today, no issues with handling volume. Still got some batching and stocking done and went down to 2 bartender by 10:30 pm and closed lobby at 10:45 pm.

Had a few troublesome guests in theatre 7 event, overall the event went off without issue so I'll note that here rather than in the event section. There was one guest in particular who was unacceptably rude. He at one point physically snapped at a server and kept waving staff down and giving an attitude when the servers told him he needed to write his orders on flags. I dropped his soda water and told him that he needed to utilize the system and act respectfully to our staff. He raised his hand in my face and shushed me and I said "excuse me, do you want to talk right now about this?" and he said "I'll talk to you after in the lobby". I told the servers that if he ordered anything for the remainder they were not to serve him and if he engaged them again rudely we would kick him out. He wasn't objectively breaking any policy and did not engage for the rest of the movie. I honestly, knowing this was a group reservation and making a scene would possibly impact the tips and experience coming from over 30 people, made the decision to not kick him out outright. He went in to the restroom and at some point left the premises without anyone noticing despite 5 of us being in the lobby. It was exceedingly strange; we had all eyes on that bathroom door and no one saw him leave. His name is Charles R Schueler Jr.

Customer Comments: I also had a strange interaction at the bar upstairs. I was helping Ryan during a small rush when the late rounds went in, was handling some guests and went up to a young girl and older man at the end of the bar. I asked if they needed anything, they said not for right now and I thanked them and took the $4 laying on the edge of the bar and put it in the cash tip container. The man called out to me and pointed out that I took his money. I apologized for mistaking it as a tip (it ended up being a tip...) and gave it back. He wouldn't let it go. He kept trying to argue with me about how I should run the bar here and raising his voice. I told him to lower his voice and kept explaining that I was simply helping and made a wrong judgement that was very logical based on where the cash was. I asked him at one point what he want me to say to end his badgering me, because it was disruptive and we were talking in circles. He then took the cash, which WAS a tip all along, and gave it to Ryan and yelled "this is for you NOT HIM" and then left.

BAR Staff Observations: Everyone balanced guests and service tickets on a stronger than expected service tonight real well.

FOH Staff Observations: Brett, RM and Corey were amazing about drink running tonight. Kristina came out to the bar at one point and asked why guests came in to her theatre with food, and why we would sell it at the bar rather than tell them to order inside. I was a bit confused, and then answered that they must have been here well before the theatre opened and ordered at the bar. As she asked Nick and I this, two sets of guests came out of her theatre with tickets looking to order. We rushed their food.

Prep List: Well stocked, just need Lemonade and Arbol Tequila tomorrow.

Pay Outs: Two to Juan for maintenance needs.
