Manager Communication:
Ian and Jared had things in good shape when I arrived after my screening. -LB
Hot. The rain helped cool down outside, but no such relief at Trees or the MOD office. It definitely did not keep people from hanging out at Trees, the fan on the floor was much appreciated. JH
BAR Staff Observations:
BAR Staff Observations:
Matthew + Gabrielle held down a pretty busy Trees this evening, and were very good about rolling with the punches while we dealt with Palco and a busy last round seating. Matthew made sure Gabrielle was set up for the rest of the evening, and got out of here a little before ten. Once I rerouted the first floor, I had Darius head up to Trees in anticipation of him helping her with any guests who wanted a drink once the Th2 Q+A let out. However, the Q+A ran over time by a fair amount, so he ended up just setting her up with a hefty pre-close. After that, he was able to finish closing lobby and Gabrielle made quick work of Trees. JH
Special Events?
I love Boosters screening and Spoons.
I gave ST&B the heads up that we will be phasing out almond milk, so that they can give their crowds a heads up. JH
The Q+A in Th2 went about 25 minutes over, so there wasn't any post-screening Trees crowd. JH
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Matthew asked that we remind Trees opener tomorrow to really focus on stocking glassware during the first round, as Matthew's in-time is right when the second round of Th2 kicks off. JH
Prep List:
Prep List:
Ian made Lawless Urban Bitches for tonight. Ian made a Margarita keg and arbol tequila.-LB
Princess Peach keg kicked, empty one is washed and chilling in the walk in. We should definitely make two big batches of Simple tomorrow, because we go through more than one on the Friday batch shift. JH
Ordering/Receiving/Shipping:

Maintenance:
Maintenance:
Ian did some serious dissection of the lobby bubbler and made major progress repairing part of the machinery, but ultimately could not get that piece back in the bubbler. It is in the liquor room. Gus if you want to give it a shot with him tomorrow. Or if Edgar has some ideas. -LB
Trees/Mezz stayed around 83°-85° all night. We kept the fan going for air flow on the floor, but it didn't really make a dent in cooling the space down. During the second round we had to open the service doors next to the ice machine, because it was absolutely boiling at the service pass.
It was pretty miserable, especially when the Palco tech arrived and shut off the Trees breaker right as the Boosters screening went in. He switched it back, but tvs, MB, printers, and several lights took several (if not more) minutes to reboot. Ultimately, we put the projector/screen to bed for the night, as it took a while for the tvs to come back on and the blue screen of death was ominous. Staff handled it like a champ and kept everything moving and attitudes positive, but it was very disruptive on what was already a trying shift. Luckily, no guests at Trees seemed overly bothered by the momentary blackout, and we were able to catch up with the Boosters service push and did not lose any tickets on MB (had a couple of double rings, but I voided the extra ones once everything was settled). JH
Trees + Mezz got down to 78° by the time I was heading out. JH
