Manager Communication:
Very busy from the moment we opened.  TDWP2 is selling out and a bunch of other movies continue to fill up the theaters.  The big theaters were pretty much sold out all day, and kept us busy on all floors.  Trees also had a few couples and small families come through during the morning to have some snacks and chill at Trees.  Definitely getting a little popular as a post-park hangout spot. JH
It was very awesome having Vlad stick around to help for the security absence tonight. I appreciate that.-He was really on top of stuff all night and extremely helpful today.-LB

Fraud gift card gate:
So the man that possibly bought gift cards earlier: He came into Trees, Gab flagged him. I made him a Marg with Espolon and he wanted a shot. His card wouldn't swipe. I told him I could not manually enter it, I would give him the card back and the margarita if he paid for it. His girlfriend paid for it. I took a photo of the card so we can cancel it if we are sure it is him. He said to me he bought the card with cash earlier. I said, "Why would you buy a gift card here with cash and then use it?" He was wearing a Versace brown sweatshirt, if you are trying to go under the radar at a movie theater, not a good look if anyone likes Showgirls. 818810292021322 CVV:179

Busy busy day.
I broke out a case of pint glasses and the last two cases of rocks glasses in house. I have made a big order from webstaurant because we need to have back ups in house of this glassware.-LB

After last call at Trees lounge a group of women lit candles and started singed Happy Birthday. They did not ask, they had asked me for a lighter to which I said no. I told them to blow them out and swiftly explained why and I asked them to leave as they also had outside desserts. A lesson in celluloid film for everyone.-LB

Customer Comments:
I received several compliments from guests about how approachable and friendly Greg is down in lobby.  Another lobby champion. JH
Theater 3 guest adult male complained at 7:30pm of how cold and unpleasant the theater was after he complained about the temperature. I explained we have been having some issues with our system.  He did not have a good time and wanted to make sure we knew it.-LB

Customer wanted to order a dark and stormy from the theater. I do think we should have a dark dark rum available for theater ordering.-LB

BAR Staff Observations:
Again, both Greg + Matthew were our brunch opener champs, guiding guests and getting both bars stocked for the first two rounds.  Several things (soda + kegs) kicked within quick succession during the first fifteen minutes of service, which was a great time for me to get in some cardio.  Once Tevon got in for the second round, he slid right into service with Matthew at Trees and they handled a pretty busy Trees crowd and second round. JH

8 hours of Tevon=10 hours of any other bartender. -LB

FOH Staff Observations:
First round drink service for Th1/2 was fantastic.  Matthew was on top of tickets and the servers were back and forth between the pass and server stations at a record pace for the early hour. JH

Sick Leave/ Call outs:

Staff Meeting Agenda notes:
Noted below, but I did have to make a double batch of whipped cream for the Irish iced coffee right after doors.  I spoke to both bartenders and it has just been a bit of a blind spot for openers (and me, I definitely blanked on checking our stock levels when making a prep list yesterday).  I'm going to mention it in this week's bar email, too. JH

86ed / counts on items:

Prep List:
Made Irish IC whipped cream (2x) shortly after doors, and then O-Ren Lychee-I (2x) once Tevon was in.  O-Ren will definitely be a good move to a keg if we decide to do so for Summer reprint, because people love this one.  Strained Margarita into the keg + charged up Color of Pomegranates. JH

Really trying to work through this plan of batching on Friday to cover weekend sales, so I definitely did not batch as much as I could have gotten to.  Touched base with Lauren when she got in about potential plans, and she will make any decisions necessary for service going forward for the rest of the evening/weekend.

The plan at the moment is: both bars did a very big restock right before 5:00pm, so they should well set for the dinner rounds and the rest of the evening.  We have back ups of everything in the walk-in, but are down to our last full FWWM back there.  Matthew made some more Arbol Tequila, so if we do need to make more FWWM before Monday we are well stocked and ready to roll.  JH
We have killed the last FWWM. The last lemonades are on thin ice.
I did not order Baldor. We have some lemon juice and can borrow from the kitchen to squeak by but this is a thin margin. Not like there was time. The only time we had hands to batch today was before Matthew left. -LB

R&D comp checks:

Over/Short on Banks:

Pay Outs: T bought some champer stoppers at the wine store, but they aren't good ones, so I will buy more. $4.89

Lost & Found?:

Ordering/Receiving/Shipping: US foods Monday.

Maintenance:
The printer at the far Trees POS was disconnected this morning, but Wyatt was able to figure out that the router was just unplugged.  I'm going to include a note in this week's bar email to make sure to double check that nothing is jostled out of place when we put the slim jim back in that corner. JH

Around 4:00pm, I realized that the ac was turned off at both Trees + Mezz.  I had thought the warmth was because of the brilliant sunshine coming in through our windows, but both thermostats read at 73°+78°.  I turned both back on to cool and  reset them to follow the schedule.  Unsure when they were turned off, or if this may be a fluke due to recent Palco issues. JH

The gasket on the bottom of the walk-in door is falling off. This is definitely a DOH issue, we can probably reaffix, but will be useful to have for summer. -LB
