Manager Communication:

BIG Baldor order - lots and lots of Saratoga. Had a little spill and two cases of sparkling water fell off the handtruck - only two bottles actually broke, and everything was totally fine. Rebecca and I got the building open and Matthew and Natasha were rockstars for the opening push. 

Stewart hooked me up with 6 inch skewers and is aware we need bev naps for Trees Lounge. Jeremy tracked down some for me, but we probably need more. -LB

I threw out a teen that was hanging in Trees mezz at 9:15 pm. I IDed two people playing pool who also looked quite young. One of them only had a photo of their ID. I let them finish their game then asked them to leave. I do think we need to address this issue as it can potentially put our liquor license in jeopardy. A mirror that faces upstairs that the bartenders can see would alleviate a lot of the clandestine vibes that people trying to fly under the radar enjoy. -LB

I unpacked new glassware, some liquor boxes and the new store n pour. If someone with more dexterity in their hands can attach the spouts I will leave them on bar prep, ahem Gus.-LB 

A very bustling Saturday. Excited to not move until tomorrow at 5pm. -LB

BAR Staff Observations: Bar walkie wasn't charging, swapped it out for mine. As always the crushing team of Gab, Patrick and Lydia banged out the 6-8pm rushes. -LB

FOH Staff Observations: Shea is on her phone constantly in the Trees service pass. -LB

Jose mentioned that no one has asked for booze in Project Shadow and I explained we didn't offer it to avoid confusion in this busy service period. Since a mom thought the Project Shadow had alcohol in it today because well, critical thinking is over. -LB

Bryan got out of here right on time after setting everyone up for success.  Gabs is sticking around through the end of the Nosferatu push/restock.-LB



Staff Meeting Agenda notes:   An idea I had regarding limited release beers and prompting people to the Trees IG account in an effort to make them come in after their film. Details to be discussed.-

I find that servers drop checks early often and while this facilitates their duties, it may be costing us money. Going to work on some troubleshooting ideas with Gus as both of us when in movies, would buy another drink.  As we are probably the rare breed of bartender consumers, we could be leaving money on our tiny little tables. -LB

We have no more Tarragon Gin in house after making an 85% batch of Elphaba. Gus said he's got more coming from WB soon. - IP

I tossed better together and the old Glindade. Will toss the Glindade at trees lounge and swap mystery cocktail to something else. They are all past quality dates. -LB

I swapped Ariana Grande for Traveling Companions at Trees Lounge.-LB

We are getting down to only a few cases of Goslings ginger beer. -LB

To quote Gordon Gekko, "Christmas is over and business is business." I took down both Christmas trees. -LB

Down to last keg of frizzante, Gus knows.-LB

Prep List:

I got us ahead on some stuff and made sure there was backup of everything in the walkin before Lauren came in. 

The Spirit of Comfort is starting to crank up, so let's keep an eye on the Razz Cacao syrup / cacao water to make sure we don't fall behind. - IP
I made Banana in the tailpipe for Trees, the rest is in walk-in.  Batched  3 Tornado Wrangler, cannot make more until Monday.  Need to batch Autumn G&T, Lemonade.-LB  I batched a honey syrup, double batch raspberry cacao syrup and a Spirit of Comfort very late night. There are some boxes in liquor room I left for tomorrow that are empty. -LB  You will need to make Lemonade first thing Gus.-LB

I would like to do a nice job on the A frame chalk board for Trees Lounge. Submitting for some chalk markers and hairspray so people know they don't need a ticket to come up to hang out.-LB

Maintenance: We need to defrost Trees lounge ice freezer.  Happy to do this next shift I open. -LB
