Manager Communication: Very busy night once the second round kicked off, and it stayed that way all night. Decent crowd at Trees from 6pm onwards.
Near the end of the second round, Darya came up to me at Lobby Bar and alerted me to a group of four guests seated in the booth in the ticketing window. She explained that they were not seeing a movie and one of them did not have any proof vaccination. She had told them they would be unable to enter, but in the busyness of lobby, they ended up sneaking in and settling in at the window.
BAR Staff Observations: Really great teamwork on both floors throughout the night, getting through some really busy rushes. There were some hiccups, at both bars, during the initial dinner push, as certain items were not as backed up as they could have been by openers. But nothing that greatly impacted service in the moment, and I touched base with bartenders, once service had slowed, about what to keep an eye on heading in to service rushes.
FOH Staff Observations: Really great work from everyone at service bar this evening, on both floors.
86ed / counts on items: 86’d Tecate. There is a count on Other Half.
Prep List: Ashley made Fire Walk With Me, Blood Simple, and a keg of Paloma. I made Hibiscus Syrup and a keg of French 75. Both kegs will need to be charged tomorrow.
When she had told them they would need to leave they told her they would in five minutes, and were waiting for a car. They had been there ten minutes when Darya approached me because she said one of the men was leering at her in a way that made her very uncomfortable and she did not feel safe sitting at the door. I immediately went over to them, while Darya stayed at Lobby Bar, and let them know they needed to leave.
There was some mild pushback, but they left within a minute of my arrival. The guy who had made Darya uncomfortable was clearly on something, and kept leaning over to the point of almost sliding out of the chair. One of the women had some choice words for me, but they never raised their voices so other guests were unaware anything had happened.

Everyone was great at transitioning from service bar to guests and back throughout the night, as both bars did a fair share of guest-facing business this evening. I was able to pull Ashley and Jenna during lulls to batch product that we had gone through, so stock never dipped. Everyone was also great at communicating glassware needs and keeping them stocked, which really helped keep the evening moving forward.

Jenna batched Winter Daiquiri, but could not find Aztec Chocolate Bitters. I had her batch it without the bitters and lime juice, and it is marked as such in the walk-in.
Mobilebytes Issues: The other blog will go into more detail about the issues tonight, but bar experienced the same Mobilebytes blackouts sporadically during service this evening.
