Calm first round that we used to clean and setup for Trivia. We officially started to Pre-Authorize cards at Trees with Darius already being familiar with the system in Williamsburg. With the broken piece in the frozen machine in lobby, we condensed the Ecto Chiller to only Trees. -DL

Calmer Trivia turnout, probably because we had it two weeks in a row to get back on rotation. I spoke to Maya about it at length (lol), and we decided not to pre-authorize table service tonight. The challenges she presented are: she has the crowd well-trained, and there is only one check per table. That in itself is a lot of checks, which is why we instilled that policy. Someone will come much earlier than the rest of the group to reserve a table, but they won't necessarily be the person paying the entire bill. We haven't been collecting cards for table service because of this reason, and haven't had any walkouts since Maya closes the teams out during the last round. I tried to gear the conversation more towards problem-solving, and mentioned the switch to pre-authorizing for Trivia is inevitable - if she could go about service tonight and offer a few ideas regarding how we can adjust her steps of service to implement this. She did mention that having a pre-authorization note on one of the Trivia handouts would be helpful. She also mentioned the tokens she gets when she drops checks would further slow the process down a bit with this transition, I'm wondering if we could make a discount button for Trivia-specific tokens, that you don't need lead-pin access for? To elaborate, Trivia is the only time we accept tokens to cover an entire drink. So they're usually taken care of as Buybacks. *Next Trivia, Dana mentioned Maya isn't scheduled and we plan on having whoever serves tables pre-authorizing and will see how it goes (I'm sure it'll be fine - we all know Maya can be a little resistant but that's why we love her). Darius forgot to end his break, adjusted on Mobilebytes. AB
Customer Comments:
Jose called from TH4's last Hit Man round with some customer concerns. A couple wrote on a flag that the person next to them was, "moaning, touching themselves". Dwight literally just left the building at this point. The guest in question also wrote on a flag to Jose when he dropped check that only said, "skin". I stood in the theater for a quite a long time, and this man appears to have some sort of involuntary muscle twitching. His hands weren't in his pockets, but his mouth was open and he constantly threw his head back. Unsure of his mental condition, I felt the best course of action was to be in there for the remainder of the movie, and collect his payment so Jose wouldn't have to interact with him. The guests who brought this to our attention didn't have a tab, but were issued movie passes. When the lights went up, he moved over a table and ate the remainder of someone else's food. This was clearly a delicate, more complicated situation. I will always do my best to ensure that anyone falling under an ADA condition has a chance to enjoy their experience at Nitehawk, my only main concern was the flag that had overt sexual implications. I think all MOD's across the board could benefit from more guidance in these unpredictable situations. Wyatt touched base with the neighboring guests via email. He paid cash, in person, no email. order id: 5gqxrf3

Lydia was out of dress code again today. I mentioned in their review notes that I've given a few verbal warnings about this. Usually when asked, they have a long sleeve they could put on. Today they didn't. I jotted this down in their file, but didn't enforce they purchase a Nitehawk T-Shirt since they were going to be cut very soon regardless. I had gotten called down to Lobby for staff discounts from them when I noticed the attire - so they took a drink order from a porter (doesn't know their name or how to describe them) that ordered a Fire Walk With Me, they gave Lydia a token and walked away. I reiterated that any staff orders need to have a name attached so strike 1: ask them their name. and 2: don't let them walk away when the transaction is incomplete? Their excuse was that they were distracted when I entered the building and he walked away. It seems that issues with Lydia come in pairs, and the common denominator is that they simply do not care. Dana & I talked about this at the bar meeting with Nick, & it's coming to a point where their review needs some disciplinary measure attached as well. AB

^Southern missed the Lillet swap. Ian used the last of Cocchi Rosa to batch 1/3 Rockford Peaches so we wouldn't 86. Will definitely need more Lillet Rose before the weekend for The Darkest of Angels. AB

The water faucet in Trees won't stop running, none of our usual ghetto fixes were getting it done. We turned the water valve off, it's the second white lever under/to the right of the POS. Added to Maintenance Blog. AB
