Saturday 06.21.25 Jenn/Ian
Manager Communication:
Sleepy start to the day, with theaters being pretty easygoing for the first two rounds. Got some cleaning and organizational tasks handled behind both bars and in the walk-in. JH
Slow start turned into a very busy night, particularly at Trees. Jenn's coordination of the in-times for the bar team was absolutely clutch, and we were staffed exactly as we needed to be. 28 Years Later had some pretty gnarly drink rushes. Great stuff! - IP

BAR Staff Observations:
Since the morning was pretty mellow, both Matthew and Natasha got into some cleaning and organizing projects during the first two rounds. Natasha got up into the backbar cupboards and got us set up on backup bottles and cleared out some excess, so let's try to keep on top of bartenders keeping it orderly up there. Greg came in just as Trees and the theaters were getting a little busier, and bar service was smooth sailing throughout the day. JH
Greg, Gab and Patrick did an excellent job tonight with a very busy bar. The lounge area was pretty full all night, and we had some major drink rushes for the dinner round. Jeshua worked the lobby almost fully solo, because we were a little shorthanded with Lydia's absence, and I couldn't spare Greg from Trees - but he crushed, as he always does. - IP
Sick Leave/ Call outs:
Lydia text and emailed bar managers, shortly after doors, that she was sick and would need to give up tonight's Trees closing shift. Due to sales for the first two rounds (and the very helpful flexibility of both of our mids today) we were able to move some shifts around and run with one less mid shift today. Gabrielle will work Lydia's closing shift and Greg is working Gabrielle's Trees mid shift. JH
Special Events?
Jeremy took some time today to gather and organize some stuff from kitchen for tomorrow's event at Trees (thank you, Jeremy!). The equipment and supplies needed for the kitchen order for the event are all organized inside the bar storage closet. JH

Since we were down a bartender, I basically did the batching that I probably would have pulled Matthew or Natasha for. We are back up on cocktail kegs. Since we have been absolutely flying through margarita kegs the last several days, I batched another keg's worth of margarita, which is sitting pretty in a big cambro and just waiting to be strained into the next empty keg. JH
Had to make a batch of TYCOON mid-rush, but otherwise we are still stocked to the gills for tomorrow. - IP

I had a moment after the dinner round to do a little experimentation - came up with two potential winners for Jurassic World. I will confer with Lauren tomorrow and cost out the R&D expense. - IP

Maintenance:
Walk-in still making some noise, but the temperature inside was steady throughout service. Around noon there was a mystery puddle of water under the hot water and ice machine at Trees, but we could not tell where it was coming from. It may have been somebody leaving the hot water running by accident, because once it was cleaned up it did not happen again. JH
Somehow someone went full Hulk on the water fountain in the lobby and pulled the whole tower off of its base. I've put it in the maintenance doc near the top as this is going to be extremely necessary with the incoming heatwave. - IP
