Jesse Saturday 10.5
Manager Communication: A crazy busy day. We had steady numbers through brunch and then took off sprinting through the rest of the night. Sold out shows for Joker from 3:45 on gave us a constant push tot he bar, and this crowd drank a lot more on the weekend shows; filling the bars both before and to a slightly lesser extent, after. We got pretty crushed but everyone held up well for the most part. During our 9 pm round we had a perfect storm of a very heavy hit to service, a lot of guests at the bar and a high amount of draft beers kick and last minute stocking needs. Not the best set up for success, the bartenders need to stock in between every single rush when we are this busy, as even the smallest thing to run out of (orange juice, lime wheels) can throw a huge wrench into a very fine tuned machine. We had a few tickets run a bit long due to a need to run back for batch, but otherwise we got through the other side of it and the rest of the night was well handled and smooth.
Customer Comments: Had a group of 4 guests in theatre 2, late round that were a problem. They had a high DnD get declined, so I told them they needed to provide alternate payment. Two of the guests had DnD, the other two did not but they had initially put everything on one tab. They asked us to split the checks by what each group had, and during that time 2 of the 4 left to go to the "bathroom" and walked out. The remaining two argued with me aggressively in the hallway about not being responsible for paying for the other two guests food since they didn't have DnD and they didn't eat it. I got cash from them for what they ate. In the future, if a group has DnD we need to restrict any of them from leaving before it is paid for to avoid situations like this where it is hard to force people to cover other guests charges.
Also had a DnD that would not pull up any card info when Jo went to handle payment. Ryan looked up the order number; they used a gift card for the tickets and then put their DnD on that.
BAR Staff Observations: Everyone was very efficient and well dedicated to their areas tonight. Rebecca took lead on service during one of the heaviest rounds I've ever seen that was also hit with some issues of running out of product. Ian kept to guest service all night and did a great job as well. Ryan and Vanessa needed very little support holding down lobby.
86ed / counts on items: Victory Dirt Wolf and Blackberry Farms.
Prep List: Did a lot of end of night batching to get us in good shape for tomorrow, no immediate needs for service.
Over/Short on Banks: Over $2 in Lobby bar.
Filmbot Issues: Had issues with the lobby bar terminal card reader for payment and picking up tickets.
