Sunday 4/28 Jesse
Manager Communication: Similar flow tonight as last night, which was expected. The only showtime to not sell out was the late Avengers, and even that sold strong for a Sunday night. A bit more family driven with the crowds for the showtimes leading up to the 7s and 11s, the drink mix felt a little less adult today but the volume was absolutely comparable. Well handled, good staffing for the level of business. Still managed to batch and make tight cuts; went to 1 in Lobby at 9:30 pm, went to 2 in HiRes earlier tonight as well (10:00 pm) and Susan, Rebecca and Ben rocked it out as our closing team between floors. Drink running was tough with one runner today; we could use a conversation about organizing cut staff to assist with drink running in a coordinated way to help with busy shows and times like this. Ran lots of trays, ebbed and flowed service when stations got backed up but if that could be complemented by a cut server or two, they're far better and more efficient about running to the seats and would help immensely with having 1 runner.
Customer Comments: Had a few customers that were waiting outside of theatre 1 that I told had to line up. They hung by the front of HiRed and I told them that they needed to get on the line to secure good seats, they got confrontational about being before the people in line and I explained that regardless, they weren't waiting in the right place and had to get in line. They tried to dart in when we sat the theatre and I caught them and told them to hang back and wait until the line went in and they did.
BAR Staff Observations: Grace managed to bartend, run out and help set up a theatre and serve a pre-show when FOH needed, and come back. Big points for that.
Staff Meeting Agenda notes: Please, please...there is no reason to store money under the cash drawer. Found some down there tonight, we need to not do that for obvious reasons.
Prep List: Well batched a bit higher than usual going into a Monday, but nothing over the top. May need Snap Pea syrup tomorrow but there is a lot of Perfectly Balanced in the machine and the back.
Maintenance: The light over HiRes is lightly flickering.
Also, Tuesday we should deep clean the walk in. We will be as thin as we can get on kegs and batching and it needs the TLC.
